Our country's moral and spiritual crossroads: Same-sex marriage

Our country is facing a spiritual crossroads that could spell the end of traditional marriage and family life. Christianity is being encroached upon by those within the gay community. Many of these people are "part and parcel" of the same crowd who wish to remove God from the public arena because our Creator has plenty to say about their "chosen lifestyle." If their lifestyle were not by choice, God would not call homosexuality a sin. "God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind" (Numbers 23:19).
The good news is that people who are caught up in this sin can change and free themselves with the help of God. Stephen Bennett was a homosexual man. He has been happily married to his wife Irene for over 15 years. They have two wonderful children. The Bennett family has traveled the world sharing the Lord's story of redemption and forgiveness. God is the re-creator of lives and true change.
Because the Almighty is loving, He does not mince words. The Lord is all about redeeming the lost. Within the scriptures, God often uses brutal honesty to point to the seriousness and the consequences of our actions. Here is what is found in the Book of Romans pertaining to homosexuality:
"Same-sex marriage" is currently in the forefront of the media. Gays will not take "no" for an answer on this point of advancement of their agenda. In November, Californians were called upon for a second time to vote concerning what constitutes marriage, and they voted to reaffirm traditional marriage. However, we've not heard the end of this contentious matter. Jerry Brown, California's Attorney General, is taking the people who voted him into office to court to try and overturn their decision.
Militant homosexual activists want to destroy the meaning of marriage, and by extension, the institution itself. They have advocates within the media. The president-elect is definitely sympathetic to the gay community.
Be assured that Barack Obama will do whatever it takes to change our society, so it resembles that of Sweden and Denmark. Still, we must stand firm with the Almighty's help and stop them. If we do not, the gay agenda will become much more pervasive and insidious within our culture.
School-sanctioned child abuse
If same-sex marriage ever becomes accepted as law, it will give schools license to teach our children sexual perversion. America's children will become even more brainwashed within the public school system. The indoctrination of our children will be presented to the parents as learning the skills to become tolerant of others whose families are different from their own. As the manipulation progresses, little Jeannie and Bobby will be led to believe it's perfectly fine to grow up and have the choice of falling in love with their own sex and become married to one another.
Will parents be given a chance to weigh in and have a say on what will be taught within the classroom setting? The answer is no. Is this what you want your children to be taught? Well, you'd best prepare yourselves for a Battle Royal.
Allow me to call this what it really is: It's a form of child abuse. Attempting to alter a child's sexual identity is beyond despicable and reprehensible. The indoctrination will begin when your children enter the public school system. It will continue as they approach the age of puberty and all the way into college. Those who have already fallen into the trap of homosexuality will face a lifetime of trying to remain physically and mentally healthy.
A warning to those who harm children: "It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin." (Luke 17:2)
'Multiply and replenish'
Since homosexuals are unable to procreate, they will increase their population by tampering with children's minds. Those who want to overturn the will of the American people will continue to lie while denying it until doomsday. Gay activists and their sympathizers are not trustworthy because "their consciences have been seared" (1 Timothy 4:2). In all candor, they are hypocrites and liars who fool themselves.
Progressives have no shame, nor do they respect the nuclear family as they attempt to steal away the innocence of little children. By legitimizing same-sex marriage, we will allow the most ultimate wicked act to befall our families. It is an arrogant disregard for human dignity.
It is no secret that America's children have become overly sexualized by the media. The line is crossed, however, when children are being deliberately harmed within a society. Will the American people finally take a righteous stand?
I'm still shaking my head over the fact that gays are allowed to adopt children. Is there no longer a difference between right and wrong? It is possible that a gay couple might solve their problem of loneliness by adopting a child, but apparently no one has taken into consideration how these children feel. Predictably, kids who have gay parents are mocked and laughed at. No social engineering can eliminate the trauma of a child who suffers needlessly. Where is the outrage?
In undertaking to write this article, I'm not concerned about being labeled a "homophobe." It's merely invective used to try to stifle the truth. What I'm concerned about is that kids are reading books that explain why Heather has two mommies.
If you're not yet convinced that our children's well-being is being compromised, then how do you explain what recently took place in San Francisco? Small children attended a teacher's same-sex "wedding." This was called a "field trip" by the school district. What does that bit of information alert us to? Parents, protect your children. Consider homeschooling while it's still allowed.

Politicians with their own agenda — such as Jerry Brown — want to affirm a deviant lifestyle. Immorality is not a civil right. Gay men and women live in our communities. They mingle amongst us and with our innocent children. With each and every single passing day, they are gaining political power given them by the Democrat Party and activist judges who legislate from the bench. Gays unabashedly walk into our churches and disrupt services while demanding their "rights." They stomp their feet and shake their fists and try to intimidate those of us who oppose them. They have become vulgar and violent.
There is no excuse for being uninformed about the gay lifestyle. "Gay" has become an oxymoron, using a word which by definition expresses being happy to describe a lifestyle that is sad. Gays have chosen to live their lives on the periphery of disaster. They have no assurance of themselves. Suicide, drugs, and health issues have led many to an early death.
In recent years, the American public has been inundated with TV sitcoms that highlight gay characters. One can only surmise it's to make us feel the warm fuzzies towards homosexuals. It's a strategy intended to throw us off guard, so we would not be prepared to engage in the cultural war that we are facing today.
Despite the high divorce rate in the straight community, none go into marriage with the intention of being promiscuous. However, that is not the case with some gay couples. They give a different meaning to the word "commitment." Most homosexuals do not practice monogamy within their "exclusive relationships." It's intellectually dishonest to compare them to heterosexual couples who enter into marriage with the best intent to remain faithful.
Assault on the churches

Bible-keeping Christian denominations will not go against God's Word. When lawsuits against the clergy begin, the rights of a minority will infringe on the rights of others. The outcome will be unacceptable. Unfortunately, if things continue to degrade, the matter will be left increasingly to the courts. Gay activists are already lining up to interfere with the gospel. In Canada, teaching the Word about homosexuality is a crime and considered hate speech.

WASHINGTON — After years of litigation and debate, the California and Connecticut supreme courts are about to decide the question of marriage. If, as some suspect, the courts redefine the institution to include same-sex couples, they will have entered a minefield of unintended consequences — especially with regard to religious liberty.
The experience of legalizing same-sex marriage in Massachusetts, and of civil unions elsewhere, cannot be ignored. It shows that, even with the best of intentions, legalizing same-sex marriage will seriously undermine the religious freedom citizens have enjoyed since the founding.
