King Nothing!
A.J. Castellitto
Then it all crashes down
And you break your crown
And you point your finger
But there's no one around
Just want one thing
Just to play the king
But the castle's crumbled
And you're left with just a name.....
Where's your crown, King Nothing?
The audacity of ambition and deceit. It sounds like a pretty wild ride. It takes so much narcissism to even try to take it on......
But at what cost? When does it end? Who cleans your mess?
Global realignment is a fool's paradise. Arrogance and Reality may battle for a bit, but 99 times out of 100, arrogance gets his butt kicked......... Make that 100!
"Stroke of the pen ... Law of the land. Kind of cool," – Paul Begala, Democratic Advisor to then president Bill Clinton.
Earthly wealth and power stifles reason and responsibility. Money may buy innocence, but it won't buy forgiveness. That will come at a steep price. In fact, it's already been paid via the ultimate sacrifice. But our pride must come before a fall. It will be obliterated either way. We can either fall righteously or tragically.
"He's the president of the United States. He's not a king....He may think he's a king, he may declare himself king, but that's not what he is under our Constitution." – Michelle Bachman
The President (and his Big Money backers) may have devised various ways to manipulate the system, but there's one system that can't be infiltrated.
All earthly powers must inevitably succumb, as per Murphy's law and God's eternal mandate. There are no winners and losers in politics, only criminal accessories. The few that get out with their soul in tact will be lamented, but the greatest retribution is held for the shameless and soulless. At the end of the day, we are left to ourselves. And we are what we've wrought.....
Is it worth it, Mr. President? How many of your own lies can you stomach? How many lives can you discard and displace? How much golf can you play?
When all is said and done.... How grim will be your reap?
