'Plan B: pedophiles, deception and Plan C'
By Matt C. Abbott
The following article, written by Mark Crutcher, is reprinted from the Sept. 2006 newsletter of Life Dynamics, Inc.
This is truly the golden age for men who prey on underage girls for sex. First, a Life Dynamics undercover investigation documented that Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation clinics are operating a nationwide pedophile protection ring. (Read the full report at ChildPredators.com or call 1-800-800-LIFE for a free printed version.)
Since that report came out, Life Dynamics has also found that the majority of law enforcement agencies and prosecutors in America are refusing to enforce the mandatory reporting laws that are being openly flaunted by these Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation facilities. Amazingly, the Bush administration continues to hand over hundreds-of-millions in federal dollars to Planned Parenthood every year despite that organization's documented participation in this pedophile protection racket. In fact, taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood is higher under Bush than it was under Clinton.
This investigation also proved that in states with parental involvement statutes, men who impregnate minors are taking them to states that have no such laws. Meanwhile, congressional pro-choicers are aggressively blocking federal legislation that would prohibit this from happening. The investigation also found that judicial bypass provisions in these parental involvement statutes are being routinely promoted by these same organizations as a mechanism to circumvent state mandatory reporting laws.
Now, the Bush administration has made it even easier for abortion to be used as a "get-out-of-jail-free" card for sexual perverts who target children. With the support of President Bush, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved over-the-counter non-prescription sales of Plan B, also known as "emergency contraception or the "morning-after" pill.
In a half-hearted effort to placate those who said that easy access to this abortion inducing drug would give pedophiles a way to conceal their crimes, the FDA restricted non-prescription purchases to girls 18 and over. But that was meaningless since the FDA also ruled that sales to men would be allowed. So now, any statutory rapist with a few dollars in his pocket will be able to just stroll into the closest drug store and buy the chemical abortion he needs to hide the fact that he is raping a child.
It is also interesting to note the abortion lobby's reaction to the approval of over-the-counter Plan B. For years they had pushed it as the holy grail for reducing America's staggering teen pregnancy and abortion rates. By simply ignoring the fact that Plan B is itself an abortion, Planned Parenthood claimed that unrestricted access to it would prevent 1.5 million unplanned pregnancies and 800,000 abortions every year.
However, on the day after FDA approval was secured, a Planned Parenthood spokesperson was quoted in an Associated Press article saying that Plan B "will not reach that potential." She attributed the organization's flip-flop on the fact that girls under 18 will not be allowed to obtain the drug without a prescription. The problem with that explanation is that according to statistics released in June of 2006 by the Guttmacher Institute — Planned Parenthood's research arm — about 19 percent of all abortions are done on teenagers. This means that the PDA's age restriction cannot reduce Planned Parenthood's original projections by more than 19 percent.
So if that adjustment were made, Planned Parenthood's revised projections should be that Plan B is going to eliminate 1,215,000 unplanned pregnancies and 648,000 abortions per year. But today, they're not saying anything remotely similar to that. They realize that their need to deceive the public ended when the FDA approved Plan B for over-the-counter sales. At that moment, their new goal became to lower expectations in order to hide the fact that they were lying from the start. In short, you can define Plan C as the cover-up for Plan B.
Naturally, other "reproductive health care experts" and their flunkeys in the media are jumping on the Plan C bandwagon. Since the FDA approval, most are saying that Plan B's impact on public health, pregnancy and abortion will be virtually nothing. In the previously mentioned Associated Press article, James Trussell, director of the Office of Population Research at Princeton University, described the easy availability of Plan B as being like a cork floating in the ocean. Its impact, he said, "...will be hard to measure because it will be so small." The author of the piece described the effect of Plan B as "negligible" and cited a 2005 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association which found that access to emergency contraception had "no significant effect" on pregnancy rates.
Of course, neither the media nor any of these so-called "experts" were making those kind of statements during the debate over Plan B. They clearly understood that launching Plan C too early would mean trouble for Plan B.
The bottom line is, Planned Parenthood has once again been caught lying through its blood-stained teeth, and their own actions prove it. In concert with their fellow death merchants and pill pushers, these people told one story to get Plan B approved for non-prescription sales and a totally different one in a transparent attempt to cover their tracks. And since the media never holds them answerable for anything they do or any lie they tell, that job falls to us. Saddle up.
