The evil of Planned Parenthood and pro-LGBT persecutors of Christians

There's been no shortage of depressing cultural developments in recent weeks. In addition to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex "marriage," we have the following story about abortion giant Planned Parenthood (from LifeNews.com):
A shocking new exposé video has caught Planned Parenthood's top doctor describing how the abortion business sells the body parts of aborted babies.

New undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America's Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts....

Federal law prohibits the sale of body parts of aborted babies. In fact, the sale or purchase of human fetal tissue a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000.
The story is getting a lot of coverage from pro-life media outlets and blogs, and limited coverage from the mainstream media. Sadly, PP is "protected" by numerous pro-abortion politicians, the courts, the mainstream media, and wealthy liberal elites. Pro-life leaders are calling for Congress to investigate, but I'm not holding my breath that anything significant is going to happen. PP might get a slap on the wrist, and then it will likely be business as usual. Yet we still must have hope.

Then there's the backlash to the backlash of the SCOTUS same-sex "marriage" ruling.

From LifeSiteNews.com:
'Too many Christians, not enough lions,' a derisive reference capitalizing on the Christians martyred in ancient Rome, was also how one LGBT activist responded to Catholic Vote's (CV) pro-marriage 'Not Alone' video, according to CV President Brian Burch....

Defaming of Christians, and Christ, continued over at The Huffington Post, where a column by Jules Suzdaltsev titled 'Was Jesus Gay?' was picked up July 8....

'As a straight Jew, the homophobia amongst Jesus's followers has always struck me as a bit of a surprise,' Suzdaltsev wrote. 'Worshipping at the feet of a ripped, hung man, seems at least a little homoerotic'.....

Liberal political commentator and open lesbian Sally Kohn called at The Daily Beast for ostracizing marriage supporters. 'Will anti-gay Christians be politically and socially ostracized? I sure hope so,' Kohn stated.
Then we have the modernists in the Church, including a number of neo-"Jebbies," who are gleefully undermining traditional Catholic teaching at every turn.

Phil Lawler writes at CatholicCulture.org:
For an understanding of how most American Jesuits actually responded to the decision, it might be more useful to read the earlier editorial in the Jesuit Post, which is published by young Jesuits still in formation.

#LoveHurts is the hashtag on this remarkable editorial. What 'hurts' the editors of the Jesuit Post is the failure of old-fashioned Catholics to share their delight with the Obergefell decision. To read the editorial in its entirety is to realize that these young Jesuits see themselves as missionaries, determined to make converts.

However, unlike the Jesuit missionaries of an earlier age, they do not aspire to bring pagans into the Catholic fold. Their goal – not even hidden in this editorial – is to persuade Catholics to adopt the sexual ethics of an increasingly pagan society.
We can pray for the intercession of St. Ignatius of Loyola that these misguided or even wicked men are either converted or somehow kept from polluting the minds of impressionable Catholics.

As for the enigmatic Pope Francis, click here to read an interesting analysis of his seemingly mixed messages, particularly in regard to homosexuality.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
