SOLD! America...saga continues
By Bonnie Alba

Americans should rest easier now that Pres. Bush has signed the Homeland Security budget which includes a measly first installment of $1.2 billion for construction of a 700-mile fence along the U.S.-Mexico border. Well, don't relax just yet. The actual appropriation of funds, the Secure Fence Act, is pending. This bait-and-switch maneuver is just the latest to make us believe they are actually doing something 95 percent of Americans want.

With a congressional election in a few weeks, both the democratic and republican parties are running scared (they should be). They are hoping this and other issues-scandals will all die down and we will forget — after the election. Also, Mexico's Pres. Fox and company protested this fence and heavily lobbied against it. There is more going on here than meets our eyes or ears.

Even if the Secure Fence Act is signed, will the fence be built? If so, it won't be what we think it should be — Homeland Security will probably invest in the newest modern tech of virtual realism, cameras. That's it, folks! So, watch what happens after the election.

The bigger picture that should concern all of us is the Security and Prosperity Partnership which is still on track. As World Net Daily reported, Judicial Watch and others have obtained, under the Freedom of Information Act, some of the SPP documents which testify to the involvement of many federal government departments and agencies, all under the auspices of Homeland Security and Pres. Bush.

Texas Update

Last article, I suggested you "Watch Texas" as a public release claimed 70 plus counties would protest the acquisition of their property to build a "super" 10-lane highway from Mexico's border to the northern Texas-Oklahoma border. In the highway's planned path is over 500,000 acres of private property, family ranches, farms, and communities.

As it turned out, only 36 counties, though still a sizable number, participated as hundreds of citizens placed their cups full of precious soil from their lands on the steps of county courthouses. The citizens who acted in this protest were probably the ones most likely to have their land and livelihood threatened.

We must remember that once the government on behalf of a developer or foreigner can arbitrarily take our property, then we no longer have a country built on one of its main premises, property rights.

Who will gain? Mostly the elite and wealthy of all three countries. Mexico along with Latin America have the most to gain. America is in the middle of this seemingly innocent economic, progressive plan with Canada at the receiving end. If all of this should happen, besides losing our identity as a sovereign nation, the way we live will change, I believe for the worst. The results remain to be seen.

Who's missing from this "shadow" government? Congress. Nowhere is there any accountability, any oversight, any responsibility for the administrative laws that are being changed, reformed and transformed to establish and accommodate this strategical economic plan for the future North American Union.

Also missing. We the people. We were not asked about, invited to, educated on, or informed of these long-term changes that will take the USofA down a road to the death of our sovereignty, our national identity as a constitutional republic.

Power and centralized government under the Presidency will only grow larger — along comes the 66-page forms for the bean counters which delay all requested actions. Meanwhile illegals and terrorists will keep up their good work of breaking our laws and destroying our nation.

Congress who has failed to live up to any expectation for acting on any major issue in the last 10-plus years is now ignoring this major catastrophe, amongst others, our nation will face in the next 40 years.

One bright note: On this issue of the North American Union and its dark plan, four concerned congressmen have stepped into the light of day to prod their peers to examine this issue. According to World Net Daily, Rep. Virgil Goode Jr., R-VA, has proposed a resolution — HCR 487. The resolution is a baby step in the right direction. Rep. Goode is backed up by Reps. Thomas Tancredo, R-CO, Ron Paul, R-TX, and Walter Jones, R-NC.

I applaud author Jerome Corsi, World Net Daily columnist, who continues to explore all the ramifications of the Security and Prosperity Partnership and all its spidery legs with other organizations reaching into Mexico and Canada. And, I applaud the World Net Daily staff for keeping this issue mainline.

Stay tuned for the continuing saga.
