Call for a conservative 'conditional' vote
By Bonnie Alba

The new Trick: Call conservative voters — who may be thinking of not voting — "stupid" or "mindless." But this name calling did not come from the Dem-Libs. That was Tony Blankley's thinking in his column online at realclearpolitics.com. Then after Rush Limbaugh read Blankley's article on air, the term "cut-and-run conservatives" was uttered by Limbaugh.

Conservative voters — Are you wavering with all the rhetoric splashing the media on whether to vote Republican, or not to vote? Are you thinking 'who represents me' in D.C.? Bear with me, I have a plan.

We are commanded, not encouraged, to vote Republican, no matter what. So despite all the frustration and despair felt by conservatives who have seen a minimum of our principles put into practice, we are to vote Republican anyway. Attacked by our own supposed conservative tribe and then told "you must Not vote democrat" is beyond logic, it's idiotic!

Who do we believe? Well, we know that the Democratic Party is so liberal that abortion, partial-birth abortions, promiscuousness, cohabitation, same-sex marriages, and all those other sins are normal and right functions of their unrealistic, utopian society. They lack in national defense. Add their love of Big Government, tax increases, robbing and placing the burden on the middle class to pay for socialist programs and welcoming of illegals. Great Principles.

Obviously if we are traditional conservatives, we would be walking contradictions to vote the democratic ticket. If Blankley and Limbaugh would just stop and think — they would know that no self-respecting conservative could ever vote the democratic ticket.

Now let's turn to the so-called "conservative" Republican Party which has brought us to the point of despair and greatly disappointed most over the last six years. With the exception of Islamic Terrorism and the Iraqi war, both the Republican-controlled Congress and Pres. Bush's administration have failed to produce a single, major piece of legislation which speaks to conservative principles. If anything, they have fallen into the liberal trap or were liberal to begin with.

When we look specifically at Congress as a whole, we see "failure" written across all their faces. What they've done: the Biggest Growth of the federal government, the Biggest Growth in spending, the Biggest Growth in pork, the Biggest Debt ever! The corruptive influence of deals, made through corrupt lobbyist pressures, allows so-called "expert" lobbyist corporations-organizations to write the bills without regard to consequences and conflicts of interest.

Congress has abandoned their oath to adhere to the U.S. Constitution. They quickly forgot why they are there in their quest to keep their seats and their little corners of power. The American people are not who they serve.

The Republican Party has been hijacked by neo-conservative zealots covertly arranging and preparing our country's future by slowly merging this nation into a global economy. This ideological vision will change our nation forever.

The Democratic Party has been hijacked by socialists whose goal is to turn our nation away from its Christian-Judeo roots, in fact, eradicate all semblance of our national identity as a religious people. They have succeeded with citizens' own participation. Their vision moves America towards a secular, humanist society with a government overtaxing the more ambitious to provide for the laziest, not just the poor and needy.

Let's not forget the liberal-controlled media who were educated in the liberal public school system which instills students with those great democratic-liberal principles.

My Plan: Why I will vote Republican ... this time

In attempts to needlessly prod disappointed Republican Conservatives to the polls, Blankley, Limbaugh and others do us a disservice. We do realize the stakes even though right now we feel disenfranchised from this Congress and the President's administration (exception: War against Islamic Terrorism).

American conservatives will vote this election but thinking voters will probably hold to a conditional "if" in their minds, just as I have concluded. For us, it is inconceivable to place the Dem-Libs back in control, the same party who wants to abandon the Islamic terrorism war and, even now, by their own hateful anti-war ranting, sides with a despicable worldwide enemy.

Right now, what political pundits including Blankley and Limbaugh won't say out loud: Taboo words: "Third Party."

My condition: Republicans and Democrats, you have two years to get your act together. Do the job you've been hired to do, confront the very real problems of our time and honor your oath of office.

In two years, I will decide with my vote whether you have fulfilled your commitment and earned your pay. There is a third party waiting for me, just in case.

I am watching! Are you?
