Prophecy 2014 -- will America die in the breach?

"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." (Psalm 9: 17)

If a nation can be cast down because it forgets God – what happens to a nation that actively fights against God.

If you have any trouble finding the answer to the question – let me help.

A nation that goes from being guided by what Rev Jerry Falwell coined as 'the moral majority, to being guided by its, Obama led, immoral minority, is without doubt, standing in thin air suspended by absolutely nothing. The unattractive phrase, 'fallen nation' may soon take its place, not in our dictionaries, but in our history books.

Rally for the Duck Commander, but let the country go down the tubes?

The rallying of conservative America for Phil Robertson and the Duck Dynasty series was at the very least – refreshing, but it is hardly enough.

Where was the rally in 2012 when Barack Obama ran for a second term? The 100 million Christians and 60 million Catholics were still being etherized by misty promises of 'change we can believe in' even as the worst president in American history slithered into a second go-round.

Lying about everything from his sketchy past to whether Americans could keep their health care plans, now the slumbering have come to realize they were not at a party after all. It is more of a national reality show where we are all participants in the Obama dream. It will now require far more than the audacity of hoping it will end, to correct the ongoing moral, economic and political damage.

Somewhere, between the fatalistic idea of Calvinistic doctrine and the idea that the evil day has to come as prophetically promised; America's Christians have stood by while government 'of, by and for the people' has been sidestepped for the contorted meandering of a narcissist that doesn't mind experimenting with our 238 year history to see if he can morph it into a new-world wonderland where immorality, unbridled spending and foreign policy miscarriage are the norm. This is twisted sister!

Naiveté elected a pop culture figure for president while forgetting that our presidents are supposed to be servants not saviors. In The case of Barack Obama it is clear now, that he is neither.

Separation of church and state does not imply that American's should be separated from their brains

If I see one more Christian publication, website or preacher in a pulpit calling for prayer for those in power (Ro 13: 1f) without the admonition to go out and vote for some Christian or conservative candidate I may just die.

In the interim I will remind American Christians of what the Apostle James said in James 4: 17.

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

Letting the country sink into its own demise, while we call for prayer for our leaders is a mockery. Over half of the Christians are not registered to vote and only half of those registered get off their duffs and go down to the polling booths.

Doing nothing in the mid-term elections of 2014 and the general elections of 2016 is sinful. If, as we are pleased to say, God gave us a great nation through the founding fathers who sought God and believed a nation could reflect Godly values, then letting it go to the dogs is indeed an act of laziness and sin by omission.

Edmund Burke's famous quote about what it takes to make evil succeed may have its literal fulfillment in the Christians, but the apostle James has warned that it is a sin – isn't that something Christians are supposed to stop practicing?

Before passing these conclusions off as interpretation being stretched to extrapolation consider this.

When Jesus described the first century Church of Laodicea he said they were rich and needed nothing. They were too big and too popular to fail.

To them he replied, "...thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked" (Rev 3: 17b)

Is it possible that the richest nation and greatest bastion of freedom in the world, the 'super-power' we call America is now approaching the same place as the Laodicean's?

Must I say that if we stand by and do nothing, we will get exactly what we deserve?

As an added note; the Church of Laodicea did fall and the region in which it was located is to this day one of the most earthquake prone and barren areas of the world.

Stop living in a fantasy world of PC and pop culture nonsense

From children suspended from school for shooting imaginary arrows to the Duck Dynasty flap, it is now apparent that America has entered the twilight zone where reality and PC birthed fiction has become blurred. A new breed of spineless American's has driven us to the brink where pop culture decides our morality and Hollywood and the entertainment industry have become our deluded conscience.

Let's come out of the clouds and see if we can bring this bird down before it crashes. Here's what we know, America has gay people, but it was not founded as a gay nation. The Bible still condemns gay behaviors and nothing is going to make that go away.

The penchant for PC and pop culture make for titillating new trends, but when a nation seeks stability in a turbulent world setting it must return to its foundations or die.

America was founded on Christian principles and guided by one of the most powerful civil documents in the history of the world. The guidance of the bible and the foundational freedoms of the Constitution are not niceties from the past, they are the very undergirding of the nation. Kick them out at your own peril.

We must stop making everyone to walk on eggshells one minute and across a bed of hot coals in the next – all because of a few words of offense.

If viewed under the microscope of true reality from the pulling down of crosses at veteran's memorials to placing antichrist signs on Times Square it is all directed at Jesus Christ. One who died as a lamb for the sins of the world would hardly seem much of a threat to anyone, but here's the rub, as long as it is known that someone had to die for the world that means the world is very sinful.

The one who provides the door out of a dark room is hardly guilty of producing the darkness. We will have to own that ourselves. Little wonder the apostle John was led to write this famous verse of scripture under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." (John 3: 19–20)

The bottom line is that sinners have always been and will always be offended directly or indirectly by Jesus Christ. He alone represents the call to examine our behaviors and in today's world, when PC extravagance and pop culture trends are weighed, they do not stand a chance of a passing grade and must ultimately be offended with Christ.

Then there is this admonition and clear warning. The one who the prophet Isaiah called the "Rock of Offense" (Isa 8: 14) was later to exclaim that being offended with him was not the best place to be found. To wit:

"And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me." (Matthew 11: 6)

Don't the lost seek the path back to the main road – Ya Think!

Over seventy times the bible refers to the path we choose as being what makes or breaks an individual or a nation. When bereaved how many have heard the reading of the 23rd Psalm to give them some modicum of comfort and encouragement? Then there is that one line...

"He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." (Ps 23: 3)

Is this just rhetorical nonsense or poetry used to get us through a rough spot in life, or is it exactly what God expects us to do every single day of our lives? Can a soul be restored; can the soul of a nation be restored without coming back to the paths of righteousness?

Have we labeled the times past as the age of innocence and thereby rendered it impotent and innocuous? Has being bad become so cool that you have to be really evil to move way up in the world of everything goes? Is innocence stupid?

It is odd that when worldliness and evil finally take their toll on some people, they seek the place of return to days of their childhood. They long for the days of innocence, but often they cannot be found or re-lived. But getting wisdom and giving up guile are not in the same class. In fact, real wisdom can be had by the guileless, but guile can only be had at the expense, of wisdom.

Need an interpretation for all that, it's simple – evil is stupid.

Returning to a right path, however, is never stupid. Pop culture flash resists it, because old things don't look cool. Here's wisdom; the old path is aimed at life – not cool. If our cool results in the end of a pop culture driven nation – how cool is that?

Prophets, preachers, wise men, seers and good men of every kind have been calling for this nation to return to the paths of the founders and of the biblical principles on which it was founded. The voice of one man in the White House declaring that we are a Muslim nation and same sex marriages are perfectly normal, can hardly alter our history. As it pertains to our path, consider this...

"Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant." (Isa 30: 11 -13)

Oh, about that prophecy for 2014

Godless and corrupt politicians, educators, celebrities and perverse lobbying groups have made their mark on America for the entire last generation. Time is running out for our nation. The two most important things I can say for 2014 are as follows.

1. The future is in your hands – not theirs!

2. The breach is near.
