Obama embraces the liberal philosophy of death
By Dennis Campbell

In a dirty and dusty clay home in ancient Judea the wizened old man worked over the swollen body of the girl. She had committed that so very scandalous of deeds in the Jewish culture of her time: She was unmarried and pregnant, and had left her hometown months ago to avoid bringing shame on her family.

Now, she desperately hoped this old man could bring about an even greater transgression, aborting the child within her.

"I think we have it...." the old man muttered. "Now, we'll just..." Suddenly he gasped. "What is it?" asked the elderly woman who aided him. "The child," he said, "it...it's alive."

He turned and held up the wet and squirming baby. "You promised me this wouldn't happen!" shrieked the girl. "What do we do now? I can't keep this baby!"

As the old man stood with a helpless look on his face, his helper turned to stare at the now-open door of the house. "It's him!" she said fearfully. "It's the Nazarene!"

Jesus of Nazarene strode into the house. His all-knowing gaze looked from the old man to the girl, his face bathed in compassion. "Little one," he said to the shivering and sobbing girl, "do you desire to keep this child?"

"N-n-no," she stammered. "I'm only 14! I can't keep this baby, and no one else is going to want it."

Jesus looked momentarily at the old man, and then motioned to a basket sitting in the corner of the room. "Make it comfortable," he said, "until it's dead."

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, the preceding surely strikes you as preposterous, indeed, blasphemous. It is inconceivable that the One who said "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" would ever display such contempt for innocent human life.

But that's not how Barak Obama — who, in spite of the wishes of his worshippers, is not the One — sees it. Obama sees no conflict between his unwavering support for abortion, to the point of insisting that a baby who survives an abortion simply be left to die as long as it is made comfortable, and his proclaimed Christianity.

But, apparently, before Obama is a Christian he is a liberal, and an extreme one at that. Instead of embracing Christ's proclamation of life, he embraces the liberal philosophy of death. Liberalism kills nearly everything it touches.

The worst example of the liberal death touch, perhaps, is the one just illustrated. It casts a cold and uncaring eye on the most helpless among us, babies.

In its extreme expression — communism — liberalism has resulted in the deaths of perhaps 100 million or more people, many brutalized beyond comprehension, others starved, still others simply lined up and shot.

But liberalism's death touch extends beyond the taking of human life. It kills the incentive for people to lead productive working lives through ruinous welfare policies, the same policies that discourage young women from marrying and forming the basic social unit of any culture, the family.

Liberalism kills political and intellectual discourse, as we see in our wretched colleges and universities, where any expression contrary to the prevailing Marxist, feminist and victimhood philosophy and identity politics is relentlessly suppressed.

Liberalism kills prosperity by its wrongheaded economic policies that penalize the most productive among us and take from one to give to another.

Liberalism kills the pride of accomplishment, because when you accomplish what I am unable to, my self-esteem — which to liberalism must precede rather than follow accomplishment — may be wounded, and that is impermissible.

Liberalism kills the natural order of families: A man and a woman united in marriage raising children, instead demanding that any perversion of that be declared acceptable, whether it is two men or two women, or any other bizarre "family" arrangement imaginable.

Liberalism kills education, turning our public schools into academic cesspools churning out legions of half-educated, but fully indoctrinated, young people, even as it remains unflinchingly opposed to vouchers or anything else that might allow parents a choice in the education of their children and allow students who desire to do so escape the appalling inner-city schools to which liberals will not send their own children.

Liberalism even tries to kill God as it diligently seeks to erase any evidence of Him from public discourse, academia and politics.

Yes, liberalism kills. It is a philosophy of death. Barak Obama is a liberal. Are you surprised that he is so callous toward the killing of babies?
