There's no shame in his game!
By A.J. Castellitto

Nonchalant....Laissez-faire.....Laid-back.....Chill....Unperturbed.....Unconcerned..... Phlegmatic....Insouciant....Mr. Panache....Easy O.....Unflappable... On the DL......

That's our guy! Talk about calm under fire. It's as if he doesn't care..... Hmmm.....

There was a time, however, when he could get highly motivated. Back in 2001, the Chicago State Senator passionately proposed a possible new direction for America with these revealing insights:

"We still suffer from not having a Constitution that guarantees its citizens economic rights....a charter of negative liberties....says what the states can't do to you...what the Federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf....

...One of the...tragedies of the civil-rights movement was...that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change."

Our founding fathers viewed government as a necessary evil. The Constitution was designed to protect and preserve the individual rights of the person. The founders ultimately wanted to form a government they could protect themselves from.

An essential aspect of preserving individual liberty is too often overlooked in our day. It lies in the prevention of extreme accommodation/excessive deferment to unreasonable minority demands (that pose likely detriment and infringement upon the rights of the thriving and foundational majority).

I'm not talking about reasonable accommodation. I'm not speaking against compassion for the plight of our wounded and/or afflicted neighbor (whether it be physical, emotional, spiritual, economic, etc.). There are true occasions when society must come together and show mercy and compassion unto their fellow man. True injustice is defeated on the personal level (and does not sacrifice moral virtue). Real tolerance does not spare religious conscience and lawful obedience, and a good and faithful leader does not cut off his nose to spite his face. There are very few left in our day, however, that would categorize our reigning commander-in-chief as good... or faithful...... or a leader.

We are being hopelessly led by radical minority rule. A form of sinister rule steeped in arbitrary justice, radical upheavals, reckless divisions, unjustified absolutions and an irrational propensity to foster and facilitate chaos and disorder. The measures administered/ordinances decreed by 'our radically-enlightened one' have gone way past the point of mere transformation. We are now entering the realm of ridiculous.

I fear the former senator was never given the job description before he took office. Or maybe one of his top advisors....cough!-valerie jarrett-cough!....hid it from him. Whatever the case, the protections and preservations of the citizen -which is what a sitting president of the United States should be most concerned with- is being sacrificed left and right.

In fact, with all of the damage being inflicted upon our nation by our own government these days (via unnecessary actions/overreactions, neglectful inactions, or just plain absurd reactions) the mainstream media, by default, is actually having to cover some of this massive train-wreck: which is essentially the fantastic lack of leadership from our executive branch!

Makes you wonder if the original script is being been rewritten; or maybe so many years of so little resistance is simply having a pile-on effect. It's open season on America and it seems every one is getting their shots in.

Ultimately and tragically, we are shooting ourselves in the foot (and with our hands tied we are bleeding to death!)

It wasn't too long ago, early-2012 in fact, that our president reluctantly confessed,

"What's frustrated people is that I've not been able to force Congress to implement every aspect of what I said in 2008. Well, you know, it turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes."

I guess there comes a time, when all political and public support fails, that a crisis must be manufactured......

And every day, whether by designer or whistleblower, a new one is exposed.
