Constant IPhone use a major distraction within families and with many parents & their kids
By James Lambert
It truly seems like iphone communications has taken over our society. Personal relationships and communications within many families across the country, have for the most part, been negatively impacted. I say this because, it seems like many parents and their children don't communicate like they used to.
It's more rare these days for families (especially those that have teenagers in them) to communicate regularly in the traditional way: namely face to face or at the dinner table or in a living room talking.
All one has to do is go to most social settings. Not long ago I was at my local airport and I noticed that almost every one of these people that day weren't talking to one another. Instead, the vast majority of these people where looking at their iphone. Their attention was given to the iphone in front of them instead of their friend or family member sitting next to them. Some time ago I was at a funeral for a former friend and I noticed people who were similarly distracted by looking at their iphone during that relatively short service.
This social observation is true with other events as well. Often people ignore their relatives and look instead to their iphone. Clearly, it seems like our traditional forms of communication in society have been taken over by the iphone.
It's fairly easy to see that mankind's fascination and devotion to the iphone communication actually falls in line with the eventual future fulfillment of biblical prophecy. I say this because for people to be controlled by 'the Antichrist' (as specified by Rev. 13:16-19) what would be a better method but being controlled by one's personal iphone or computer? Most people don't realize that the original Obama care legislation called for micro-chip identification by each of its users. However this requirement was soon dropped by legislators in Washington many years ago before it was signed into law.
It's also clear that our reliance on various computer technologies further demonstrates the need to improve our communications within the family and with our friends.
All of this should make it clear that we all need to develop a close relationship with the God of heaven and earth. Our loving God can be the best relationship one has in life. He loves us more than you know. If you don't know Him you can find out more by reading a copy of the Bible based booklet entitled: the 'Four Spiritual Laws' to begin a lasting relationship with our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. You can also go to the website (put together by my Linfield college friend Bob Prouty) entitled: www.whoisJesus-really.com ... and find the lasting and best relationship we all need – with our loving God.
