Same sex marriage: What's the real story?
By Madeline Crabb

With generous support from the Courts, the well-healed, well-funded homosexual community, which represents only 1-2% of the population, is hell-bent on redefining marriage.

For millennia it was understood that marriage was designed to be for one man and one woman. Then in 2003, after over 200 years, the Supreme Court found a new "right" in the Constitution protecting homosexual sodomy, and overturned Bowers v. Hardwick, a recent decision designed to protect marriage and public health by barring homosexual sodomy. And soon, same-sex marriage became reality in America.

Writing about his majority opinion in Bowers, Chief Justice Warren Burger said: "Decisions of individuals relating to homosexual conduct have been subject to state intervention throughout the history of Western civilization. Condemnation of those practices is firmly rooted in Judeo-Christian moral and ethical standards...(Sir William) Blackstone described 'the infamous crime of nature' (sodomy) as an offense of 'deeper malignity' than rape, a heinous act 'the very mention of which is a disgrace to human nature' and a 'crime not fit to be named.' To hold that the act of homosexual sodomy is somehow protected as a fundamental right would be to cast aside millennia of moral teaching."

The health issues alone associated with same-sex sodomy should deter us from promoting the homosexual lifestyle, and cause us to emphatically reject same-sex marriage. But if logic and reason aren't proof enough, perhaps prominent homosexual activists can convince us.

Marshall Kirk and Erastes Pill, in The Overhauling of Straight America, stated: "In the early stages of any campaign to reach straight America, the masses should not be shocked and repelled by premature exposure to homosexual behavior itself. Instead, the imagery of sex should be downplayed and gay-rights should be reduced to an abstract social question as much as possible. First, let the camel get his nose inside the tent — and only later his unsightly derriere!"

Judy Guerin of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom spoke in 1991 at the 15th annual World Congress of Sexology in Paris. She said that the homosexual movement had forced Americans to "confront" and "begin to overcome" traditional gender roles. She was encouraged the most by Americans' "nonjudgmental" attitude towards deviant sexual behavior, and added that homosexuals' rights must include "one's choice of an adult sexual partner, or partners, in or outside of marriage, and the full range of consensual sexual behaviors in which people engage."

Now to the heart of the matter...Writing for OUT magazine in January 1994 Michelangelo Signorile said that homosexual activists should "fight for same-sex marriage and its benefits, and then, once granted, redefine the institution of marriage completely...to debunk a myth and radically alter an archaic institution...the most subversive action lesbians and gay men can undertake...is to transform the notion of 'family' entirely."

The Homosexual Manifesto, originally printed in the Gay Community News on February 15, 1987 states: "The family unit spawning ground of lies, betrayals, mediocrity, hypocrisy, and violence will be abolished. The family unit, which only dampens imagination and curbs free will, must be eliminated."

And finally, homosexual activist William Eskridge, in The Case for Same-Sex Marriage, says that he hopes homosexual marriage "will dethrone the traditional family based on blood relationships in favor of families we choose." Homosexual "families" include other abominations such as: polygamy, endogamy (marriage of blood relatives), polyamory, bestiality, and child marriage.

Overwhelmingly Americans oppose homosexuality, their agenda, and same-sex marriage. We must not surrender our morals, families, or public health safety to homosexual activists, or trust the Courts to preserve traditional marriage. Therefore, let's fight back and support any measure, including constitutional amendments, whether statewide or federal, to protect the god-ordained institution of marriage between one man and one woman. And let's also support and elect those candidates who will fight for traditional marriage. The stakes are high, including the preservation of society. To anyone willing to hear....
