The sexualization of our schools
By Madeline Crabb

In America there are powers that are hell bent on sexualizing our kids at very early ages, and in perverse ways. The main place this sexualization is happening is in the schools. A recent Religion Newswriters' article, "Public schools wrestle with sexual orientation issues," reported on several areas of concern for state legislatures, courts, and school districts that include:

  • The increasing number of Gay-Straight clubs in schools

  • Bullying, discrimination, and other harassment over sexual orientation and gender identity

  • The growing number of GLBTQ students

  • Religious and free speech issues

  • Parental rights in shielding their children from homosexual teaching

  • Questions about parents' rights to allow their child to choose his/her gender identity

  • Curriculum involving sexuality

  • Questions about the origins of sexual orientation and gender identity

The nine-page article described various organizations and clubs involved in teaching our little ones all they never wanted to know about being gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (GLBTQ). Also discussed were many related lawsuits.

Doesn't it seem a little odd there are so many issues to grapple with when homosexuals constitute only three percent of the population? Since when is it so vitally important to teach about something that is practiced by so few people? And doesn't the teaching of homosexuality create an atmosphere of curiosity causing a supposed growing number of GLBTQ students? Don't we understand that this is the plan? Indoctrinate the children, as early as kindergarten. By the time they are in high school they will be totally accepting of this so-called alternative lifestyle, but it won't any longer be considered alternative — it will be called normal. This is what is happening in a city or town near you. World Net Daily recently reported such an incident.

In 2005, Daniel Parker asked that he be notified when adults were going to discuss homosexuality or transgenderism with his 6-year-old kindergartner. The school refused his request and Parker was subsequently arrested and jailed. The Parkers and another couple then filed a civil rights lawsuit alleging that the Estabrook Elementary School violated state law and civil rights by teaching their children about what they, as Christians, believe to be an immoral lifestyle.

In late February, U.S. District Judge Mark L. Wolf dismissed the lawsuit and explained that normalizing homosexuality to young children is "reasonably related to the goals of preparing students to become engaged and productive citizens in our democracy." Wolf claims that this means teaching "diversity" that includes "differences in sexual orientation." But most disturbing were the judge's thoughts on allowing Christians to withdraw their children from classes violating their religious beliefs. Wolf said, "An exodus from class when issues of homosexuality or same-sex marriage are to be discussed could send the message that gays, lesbians, and the children of same-sex parents are inferior and, therefore, have a damaging effect on those students."

This case should be a concern to us because similar scenarios are happening around the country. Parents are trying to protect their children from liberal teaching on homosexuality, and school boards or judges deny them any say. Are we going to let government schools have the final word on what our children are taught about such personal matters as sex? What are we thinking?

Surely nobody really believes little children should be taught about any kind of sex, let alone homosexual sex. Of course, the teaching is much more subtle to the little ones with books like "The King and the King" about two men falling in love and getting married. Then there is everyone's favorite, "Heather has two Mommies." The goal is for the children to have "warm fuzzies" about same-sex relationships. Only later in the brainwashing process will the hard stuff be fed to them. At that point, the hope for the homosexual community is that they will have won over most kids. "Get them by eight or it's too late" is a phrase I first heard from the homosexual community over 30 years ago. Hello...is anybody paying attention?

Folks, there are forces at work trying to destroy the youth. We are on the road to Sodom and Gomorrah and nobody sees the road signs. Parents are trusting schools with their children to their ultimate peril. Those that try to fight the system get arrested or must spend large sums of money to fight in the court system. Activist judges determined to be social engineers make new laws instead of interpreting laws already on the books that demonstrate precedent and tradition.

What can we do? First of all we need to pray like we've never prayed before. Then we need to find sound and sane people to run for school boards across this land. We need to take back the schools, if it isn't already too late. Parents must be active in this battle. We can't get so busy making a living that our children get hurt in the process. And what they are being taught about sex, particularly homosexuality, is not acceptable. Promotion of homosexuality is promotion of public-health-hazard-level-behavior (anal sex and other aberrant things), and is absolutely absurd.

In Taking America Back, Joseph Farah suggests it is time for all Christians and Jews to be removing their kids from government schools, opting instead for home schooling or private schools. These may not be viable choices for some parents. Then may I suggest that fighting the system is the only answer.

Sadly, an increasing number of people are succumbing to the battle. They are tired and just want the whole subject of homosexuality to go away. But it won't go away. Brian Camenker of Mass Resistance says that the whole transgender issue is now heating up across the land. Every perversity is going to be rammed down our proverbial throats — and into our children's minds and hearts. We will be made to believe that people are born with all their sexual perversions and that we must accommodate them. Again, the indoctrination begins in the schools. Our kids are either being taught how to be sexually active, or that they are GLBTQ. None of this should be taught in schools, particularly when growing numbers of kids can't effectively read or write upon graduation. Hmmm. America, isn't now the time to act? To anyone willing to hear....
