America's greatest enemy?
By Paul Craft

Except for God's intervention, America is heading for a Civil War. Not too long ago, America stood for the free exchange of ideas. Now if you do not agree with a person's viewpoint then they must be the enemy. Liberal vs. Conservative, Left vs. Right, or Republican vs. Democrat. It would not be so bad if it was just the extreme Left wing groups such as MoveOn.org and DailyKos.com that print lies and hate but possible contenders for the Presidency have decided to follow their lead. For example, the groups have successfully pressured Democratic presidential candidates not to appear at any debate sponsored by Fox News.

Even if Fox News does lean to the Right, I thought it was the responsibility of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to reach out to all Americans. Fox News has the biggest audience on cable news. Seems like a great opportunity to get your message out to the American public. How can you govern from the White House if you have ignored a large segment of the population because you want to appease far Left groups such as MoveOn.org?

What about mainstream America? Not everyone that watches Fox News is a buddy of Rush Limbaugh. It appears the Democratic candidates have drawn a line in the sand, if you watch Fox News your political voice is not important.

Now the same aforementioned Left wing groups are stepping up their campaign against Fox News Channel by pressuring advertisers not to patronize the network. We will have to watch and see what advertisers are willing to follow the lead of these extreme Left wing groups.

You know that mainstream Americans will have to act if this continues. Why would we buy a product from a company that supports the agenda of these Left wing groups?

What about the Fairness Doctrine? Since the Left cannot get mainstream America to listen to their agenda, they want to neutralize Conservative talk radio. Sounds like Venezuela.

Then you have different beliefs on homosexuality, abortion, teenage sex and other issues. In America if you take an opposing point of view, watch out! Frontpagemag.com reported that, Before the fall semester of the 2006-2007 school year, an Ohio State University librarian selected four best-selling books as suitable reading for incoming freshman. They included David Kupelian's "The Marketing of Evil," which presents conservative viewpoints on homosexuality, abortion, teenage sex and other issues.

For merely suggesting a book with an alternative viewpoint, the librarian was accused of unprofessional conduct and of creating a hostile work environment. He was charged with sexual harassment for recommending a book that presented a traditional Christian view of homosexuality contrary to the view deemed "reflective" of the university on this issue. Although later cleared of any wrongdoing by the university, the librarian suffered the consequences of being publicly denounced as a "hatemonger" and "bigot" and the stress of pursuing legal remedies.

This problem exists in about every large firm in America. Most of corporate America now has a pro-gay agenda. You are at risk if you speak out for your beliefs. As long as you keep your mouth shut and follow along, you will be alright.

Can you imagine what it will be like ten years from now? Unless the Lord intervenes America is heading for separation. Mainstream Americans will not be able to function in a society that does not allow for freedom of speech and religion. The separation will be far worse than the North vs. the South in the Civil War.

I pray I am wrong, but it appears America's greatest enemy is itself.
