How about a "cousins' marriage" Pride Week?
By Curtis Dahlgren

[copy of letter to the San Francisco Chronicle]

Dear Editor:

Talk about bullying and "discrimination": Hillbillies who marry cousins have been taunted and villified for many many years (even though Charles Darwin was one of them), so how about a Cousins Heterosexual Independence and Liberation, Lmt. movement [CHILL]? Married cousins no doubt outnumber homosexuals in the world, and they have been far more "persecuted." The time to CHILL is long overdue!

Seriously, some "dumb" questions:

1) On the morning news today, the radio announcer announced that a homosexual couple who got "married" in Cali-forn-ya yesterday served "white sponge cake" (isn't that angel's food cake)? Isn't "angel's food" at a civil wedding a mixture of church and state?

2) Will the Anaheim/Cali-forn-ya Angels be required to change their name as Society becomes more and more "enlightened" and secularized? Will the movie "Angels in the Outfield" be burned in the name of political correctness, and will the phrase "Miracle on Ice" be put on ice?

3) This RUSH to "marry" in Cali-forn-ya: What does it all mean (that they have been living in sin all these years)? Will a man sleep better at night once he has made an honest man out of his man?

4) Aren't these the same Liberals in Cali-forn-ya who ridiculed a marriage license as "nothing but a piece of paper" during the 1960s and 70s? Good questions, EH?

C. Dahlgren, Founder and CEO of Cousins' Heterosexual Independence and Liberation, Lmt. (CHILL)
