Homosexual bigots commit hate crimes, Part 12: Bricks through church window

The hit parade of homofascist hate crimes continues, as homosexual activists once again prove that they are the real bigots in the room.

There is no place among homosexual activists for disagreement with their lifestyle or their agenda. There is no place in the world they envision for freedom of religion, conscience, speech or association for any who will not meekly capitulate to their demands.

As I have often said, America will have to choose between homosexuality and religious liberty because we cannot have both.

The latest instance: pro-homosexual activists did a rock-and-run attack on a Christian school in Arlington Heights, Ill., where author and pro-family activist Scott Lively was slated to speak at a banquet sponsored by Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH).

Dr. Lively exposed the truth about the connection between homosexuality, Hitler, and the Nazi Party in his indispensable book, "The Pink Swastika."

The message "Shut down Lively" was scrawled on one of the bricks (hey, let's celebrate freedom of religion, speech and association, shall we?) and a note threatened even more violence if the church which sponsors the school at which the banquet was held does not stop providing a platform for people who, well, tell the truth about homosexuality.

"This is just a sample of what we will do if you don't shut down Scott Lively and AFTAH," said the note. And apparently forgetting President Obama's appeal for a "new tone" in our civic discourse, the haters added, "F — Scott Lively. Quit the homophobic s — !"

According to WorldNetDaily, a subsequent press release from the vandals read as follows:

"In the early morning hours of October 15th, we put two chunks of concrete through the glass windows and doors of the Christian Liberty Academy. We did this because at 6 p.m. today they will be hosting an event organized by the homophobic hate group Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, that [sic] will be presenting an award to Scott Lively."

The statement continues, "These chunks of concrete were thrown through these windows and doors for two reasons: to show that there is a consequence for hatred and homophobia in our community and to directly cause this event to be shut down. If this event is not shut down, and the homophobic day trainings do not end, the Christian Liberty Academy will continue to be under constant attack." (Emphasis mine.)

As Peter LaBarbera correctly observed, this is "'homofascism' being raised to the level of domestic terrorism."

LaBarbera added that it's time for the pro-family community to stand up to these bullies and refuse to cower and capitulate any longer.

"A lot of Chistians cower in fear before the power and influence of the homosexual lobby. It's not helpful. If you demonstrate you can be intimidated, you reward the bully. The 'gay' bully has been rewarded enough times, so many times they think they can get their way. We hope more churches will refuse to be bullied and will stand up to tell the truth about the homosexual agenda."

Is this whole thing indeed a "hate" crime? Of course it is. Here is the legal definition:

"A hate crime is usually defined by state law as one that involves threats, harassment, or physical harm and is motivated by prejudice against someone's race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability." — USLegal.com

"A threat involves an act of coercion. It is an expression of an intention to inflict an evil or injury on another person..." (Emphasis mine.)

So this attack involves threats motivated by prejudice against someone's religion (check) and includes expression of an intention to inflict injury or evil on another person (check).

Dr. Lively, by the way, was accused of responsibility for the death of a prominent Ugandan homosexual activist, David Kisule. But unfortunately for the Christophobic haters in the pro-homosexual movement, the culprit turned out to be a homosexual prostitute and the murder was about a homosexual relationship gone disastrously and predictably wrong.

Dr. Lively has never advocated violence of any kind against homosexuals. Instead, he correctly believes that our public policies toward homosexuality be similar to our public policies toward substance abuse.

As he expressed in a letter, he advised the Ugandan government to focus "on rehabilitation and not punishment." The letter goes on, "I urged them to become the first government in the world to develop a state-sponsored recovery system for homosexuality on the model we have in the United States for alcoholism." He views homosexuality as "a treatable behavioral disorder," and believes, as a man of faith, that there is hope for the homosexual.

So once again, homosexual activists provide evidence that they are the greatest perpetrators of hate crimes on the American landscape. If the goal is to stamp out hate crimes, then stopping the homosexual lobby is the place to begin.
