Liberals want democracy? Let's have it!
By Pete Fisher

Talking to Liberals over time can be quite frustrating to anyone who uses common sense and logic in their thought process. Anyone who has spoken to Libs hears the same rhetoric, the same arguments, the same inane excuses they use to prop up their agenda.

First and foremost, they tend to not understand that America is not a Democracy, but a Democratic Republic. They miss the fact that a system such as this was based on laws and tenets that were never meant to be voted out or changed through voting. Such as this nation being based on Christian values and the morality that upholds that ideology.

We were never meant to democratically change the Constitution by consensus, which I honestly believe our Founding Fathers desired. We were never meant to take freedom to such extremes that we devalue our own ethos and go the way of ancient Greece or Rome, allowing excesses and immorality to the eventual death of society.

However, when arguing with Liberals I take notice of their stance when they bring up the fact that Al Gore lost the election even though he had popular vote. And the fact that people like Hillary decided to try and abolish the Electoral system because of that, not noting of course that her husband never had popular vote while being installed as President.

They also tend to try and make the ranting of small fringe groups seem like those ideas are what all Americans desire. Such as one or two people from time to time who desire the Ten Commandments taken down in public places, or prayer being taken from school against the wishes of our Founding Fathers, who instituted public schools with the intention of education our children first in morality, and secondly in academics. A far cry from the social camps we send our children to daily, no?

So let's use Democracy against them for a change. Perhaps we can take the opinions of all Americans, and not just a few special interest groups with a wild hair.

According to a CBS/NY Times poll, in November of 2004 approximately 2 thirds of Americans believe in God, with approximately 20% more among Conservative groups, but 47% of Kerry voters believe in God. Of those who believe humans actually evolved by themselves only 13% of all Americans, and most notably Liberals had the lead there.

Americans oppose homosexual marriages by a rather large margin as well, 57% percent against to 40% yes or maybe.

Most Americans oppose Socialized healthcare. Most Americans support military courts. Most Americans support massive immigration reform.

Most Americans support racial or religious profiling for terrorists. Most Americans support Free Speech. Most Americans support eliminating Political Correctness from society.

Most Americans support eliminating Affirmative Action. Most Americans support abortions being banned after fetal brainwaves are detected. Most Americans support eliminating Late Term abortion. Most Americans are Pro-Life.

Most Americans support keeping the freedoms of driving a SUV, wearing a fur coat, and testing animals for medical science. Most Americans support the choice of a restaurant or bar owner to decide if he desires a smoking or non-smoking establishment without the local government deciding for the issue for them.

Most Americans support eliminating generations of welfare recipients and limiting benefits. Most Americans actually love their country.

So why do not we, as Americans take all these issues to the Government and simply vote them in or out using the Democratic system the Liberals always whine about? I say let's place all these issues on the table and vote en masse, and once and for all restore this nation to it's moral state and give Americans what they really desire and not what a few fringe groups scream for.

Just prepare for the onslaught of excuses and whining from the Left however, because they truly do desire Democracy, only as long as it goes their way and establishes their agenda. Otherwise they scream about injustice and sue, and protest, and never shut up about the fact that they lost out to a Democratic process. They truly believe their ideals are what every American thinks, and if not, should think.

So why not just take this Popular Vote they constantly whine about, and use it to change this nation to common sense thinking once more and rid ourselves of the Liberal bane we now have? And then, we can all vote on a new law that bans whining publicly when one loses an election or their agenda is found faulty by the masses and tossed out. And what should be the punishment for breaking the Whine and Cry Law?

Send them to Sudan or Saudi Arabia for 2 years and perhaps they will return having a much broader appreciation of what we have here, and what our soldiers are fighting for.
