Obama & his comrades' campaign is being run backwards!
By Gabriel Garnica
For the first time in history, an American presidential campaign is being run backwards; from the outside in, from the result to the process, from the conclusion to the introduction, and from the punch line to the joke. Sadly, the joke will be on America, on our children and on our future and the punch line has a bright smile, suave demeanor and dangerous plans.
Outside In
Every day brings new reports of just how much the rest of the world is brimming with anticipation of an Obama White House. It seems that most of Europe and the United Nations are salivating about the new America just around the bend. Finally, it seems, America will get it right in their eyes. At last, a leader who seems to care more about how America is perceived than what America has achieved. Nothing wrong with international vision and multicultural awareness; the problem comes when you cannot see the American flags from the parade of nations.
To hear liberals speak, the rest of the world is still ahead of dumb, foot-dragging Americans. After all, they have already elected Barack Obama the leader of this nation and are merely waiting for enough foolish Americans to see the light and do the same. From their perspective, half the outside world is a well-dressed sophisticate sipping champagne and munching on caviar waiting for Americans to stumble in wearing torn jeans, drinking beer and eating potato chips. The other half of the world, however, is a starving child waiting for food while that same American consumes two bags of chips oblivious to the child's hunger. Well, here comes Barack Obama to correct that dual image of American cluelessness. He can sip champagne wearing a tuxedo and feed the hungry child with the other hand, in case you didn't know.
When you vote on Election Day, please vote for Barack Obama unless you want to disappoint the French and most of the nations who have made being ungrateful to America a regular habit.
Result to Process
If the mainstream media had its way, President Bush should just leave the White House today and let Michelle Obama begin her televised tour a la Jackie Kennedy. These media geishas spare no opportunity to tell us just how far ahead Obama is in the polls, how many people have endorsed him since this morning, and how the whole map of the U.S. will be blue on Election Night.
Even humble Obama himself has acted as if he were already the leader of this country. I am not talking about appearing presidential. I am talking about assuming presidential.
Like an impatient teacher pushing a first-grader to figure out an obvious math problem, the media is puffing and frowning with dismay at having to actually have an election to confirm the obvious result of an Obama win. Perhaps Laura Bush will bump into Michelle O measuring curtains and the Divine Ms. O will ask Laura, "What are you doing here?"
Conclusion to Introduction
We have been told the Obama is the answer to everything, that he has every solution at the snap of his finger, that peace and harmony will spill out of his every word and that the sun will shine a bit brighter the morning after the election. The New Frontier II and Camelot Returns we are told.
Increasingly, extreme arrogance is being replaced by utter exasperation and impatience with anyone too stupid to see the Obama is the messiah this nation has been waiting for. We see PBS documentaries where the reporter asks some smirking elderly liberal why anyone would not vote for the chosen one and he answers that some people still make their decisions out of fear of change, tired biases and simple ignorance.
As far as the legion of dangerous associations and questionable positions, why investigate what you have already decided? Why question a candidate's pattern of treating unborn children as if they were typos on society's term paper when you have already decided that they are?
Above all, why furnish this country with a complete, thorough and objective introduction when "first impressions" have already been judged to be ignorant, intolerant, hateful, racist and who knows what else? Simply put, anyone questioning this man's qualifications, positions, associations or experience to be leader is doing so for one and only one reason; he or she is obviously a racist. Imagine accusing anyone who wanted Richard Nixon impeached of being a racist because Nixon was white and ponder the imbecilic nature of this perception held by so many.
Conclusion
Imagine grooming a job applicant for a job, holding a mock interview and selection process, assuming your favored applicant will get the job and spending the rest of your time discrediting and removing obstacles and people in the way of that result and you have just been introduced to the 2008 White House sweepstakes.
John McCain cannot win at this point. If he loses, most voters made the right choice. If he wins, most racists made the wrong choice. Like the popular game show, the answer comes before the question. Barack Obama......who won the 2008 presidential election? Like that same show, the title of this game will be Jeopardy, not for some contestants, but for this great country and generations to come.
