The pathetic American Pravda marches on

Many argue that our country is presently a battlefield between two camps, the Left and the Right, and that is true on many levels, but there is another battle raging on before our eyes which is just as critical and much more insidious, the battle between the American Pravda and the American people.

The American Pravda is largely composed of the Mainstream Media (MSM) and the Hollywood Left (HL). By now anyone with two brain cells to rub together must realize if not admit that the major news outlets of this nation are populated by liberal geishas who fawn and cheer at every move the Left makes and, just as importantly, ignore and rationalize any stumble said Left suffers. The present provides us with two classic examples of this despicable corruption.

Various investigations have shown that, between late December of 2009 and mid 2010, the broadcast networks and the "Big Four" newspapers mentioned Planned Parenthood (PP) 56 times, yet only one of those references touched on federal funding to PP and none even approached any discussions of reported discrepancies in PP's annual financial reports. This is nothing new given a long list of cases where the MSM have looked the other way regarding allegations against PP from financial and legal fronts. Over 12 videos surfacing from 10 states, including the most recent case in New York, present clear examples of PP staffers willing to help potential clients skirt parental consent laws, cite unscientific and false claims to encourage abortions, and even accept donations from people seeking to abort African-American babies. This as PP representatives in states like Montana fight against the inclusion of parental rights language in the constitution as being "dangerous" and likely to "turn our schools into ideological battlegrounds."

Taken as a whole, this evidence presents abortionists brimming with private and federal funds desperately scratching to preserve and extend their coffers, lying and breaking the law to preserve and extend their access to potential clients, all while complaining that giving parents a voice in what happens regarding their children is dangerous even as these abortionists assist pimps and others who victimize those very same children get away with their evil. The final wrap on this despicable absurdity is watching the MSM bend like pretzels to portray PP as a respectable and reliable voice regarding women's rights and the abortion issue. Obviously, this is just one example of how the MSM champions its pet causes with biased and even deceptive reporting and persecutes its disfavored issues and causes with lies, distortions, and at least apathy.

If the so-called news wing of the American Pravda is guilty of hypocrisy and selective propaganda, then its Hollywood wing does not fall far behind. What better case in point than seeing how the fine documentary Waiting for Superman is snubbed of an Academy Award nomination simply because it dares to attack public education, the teachers' unions, and hence the Democratic machine that supports these entities. This despite the fact that Superman's director, Davis Guggenheim, received an Academy Award for the Leftist "An Inconvenient Truth" where Al Gore was nearly canonized by the liberal elite. It appears that fine cinema is only fine if it does not offend the Hollywood Left. One need only recall that this same Academy thought it acceptable to honor Hitler's infamous filmmaker, Leni Riefenstahl, citing her great talent over her ideological views and excuses. Apparently talent only trumps ideology when that talent is not used to directly attack entities and people the Left favors.

If truth be told, the American Pravda's news wing and its entertainment wing have exchanged places. The Left's news has become more fiction than journalism and its entertainment wing has become more propaganda than entertainment. Come to think of it, if truth is being told, then the American Pravda is rarely the one telling it.
