From Rosie the Riveter to Rosie the Reviler
By Michael Gaynor

Wikipedia on Rosie the Riveter:

"Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of the United States, representing the six million women who worked in the manufacturing plants which produced munitions and material during World War II while the men (who traditionally performed this work) were off fighting the war. This 'character' is now considered a feminist icon in the US, and a herald of women's economic power to come. Rosie and her slogan {"We Can Do It!"} were featured on newspapers, magazines and posters.

"Rosie the riveter was inspired by a real person Ms. Rose Will Monroe, she was born in Kentucky in 1922. During World War II she moved to Michigan. She worked as a riveter at the Willow Run Aircraft Factory in Ypsilanti, Michigan, building B-29 and B-24 bombers for the Air Force.

"She was asked to star in a promotional film about the war effort at home. She was also featured in a poster campaign. She became known as Rosie the Riveter, perhaps the most widely recognized icon of that era. The films and posters she appeared in were used by the U.S. government to encourage women to go to work in support of the war effort."

America won that war (World War II), in large part due to a united home front.

America is at war again, with Terrorists and for democracy, fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Instead of the patriotic feminist icon known as Rosie the Riveter, ABC is promoting Rosie the Reviler (Rosie O'Donnell), a divisive personality using her platform to attack traditional Judeo-Christian and American values, undermine America during wartime and to help America's enemies win if possible.

According to the International Lesbian and Gay Association, Iran prescribe capital punishment for homosexuality, but Ms. O'Donnell still may become "Tehran Rosie," for extraordinary service to the Islamic Republic.

Believe it or not, Ms. O'Donnell is calling upon Americans to have faith in terrorists, not to fear them, and supporting Iran in the latest Iranian hostage-taking crisis.

"ROSIE O'DONNELL, HOST, 'THE VIEW': There were 15 British sailors and marines who apparently went in to Iranian waters and they were seized by the Iranians. And I have one thing to say. Gulf of Tonkin. Google it.

"Very hard in America when anyone from the Mid-East has been so demonized that no matter what it's impossible for some people to believe that the Iranians could ever do anything ethical in any capacity.

"I think they've been dehumanized to the point where they're not people. They're just the enemy. They're terrorists. They have two choices, faith or fear. Faith or fear. That's your choice.

"You can walk through life believing in the goodness of the world or walk through life afraid of anyone who thinks differently than you and try to convert them to your way of thinking.

"And I think that...

"UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I'm person of faith but I also believe...

"O'DONNELL: Then get away from the fear. Don't fear the terrorists. They're mothers and fathers."

Osama bin Laden is a dad, so don't worry about him!

Saddam Hussein was a father too, so removing him from power was a bad thing to do!

Whether diabolical or brainwashed, Ms. O'Donnell should be left to rant on street corners, not on television.

ABC: Asinine Broadcasting Company

Asinine: "marked by inexcusable failure to exercise intelligence or sound judgment.

Replace Ms. O'Donnell with someone who loves America and is connected to reality: Laura Ingraham, or Michelle Malkin. Then "The View"would be worthwhile to view.

Ms. O'Donnell is abominable.

On March 28, 2007, Ms. O'Donnell posted this message on her blog:

"anderson cooper
wake up

"False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear as if they are being carried out by other entities.

"the british did it on purpose
into iranian waters
as
US MILITARY BUILD UP ON THE IRANIAN BORDER
"we will be in iran
before summer
as planned

"come on people
u have 2 c
i know u can"

That's the same Rosie O'Donnell who said on "The View" on September 12, 2006, in response to fellow co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck's comment that militant Islam is a grave threat, that "radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America" and attacked America's response to 9/11, insisting: "We were attacked not by a nation. And as a result of the attack and the killing of nearly 3,000 innocent people we invaded two countries and killed innocent people in their countries."

These days "The View" is a forum for outrageous charges designed to deceive and to divide, with Ms. O'Donnell the Deceiver/Divider-in-Chief.

Good grief!

Example: On the September 12, 2006 installment on "The View," Ms. O'Donnell quoted a sentence from President Bush's address to the nation — "the safety of America depends on the outcome of the battle in the streets of Baghdad' — and retorted: " And I would say the outcome, really, of America really depends on the battle in the streets of New Orleans, that that city is still decimated and $303 billion have been spent fighting this war. If, literally, a third of that money was put into Katrina and facilitated with honest people who knew how to do it, we wouldn't be in the situation we're in."

No one mentioned that $110,000,000,000 already had been designated for the Gulf Coast clean up.

Instead co-host Joy Behar, a loony leftist, asked a suggestive question: "Don't you think it's clear at this point that they don't care about New Orleans? If they cared about it, they would have fixed it already."

Note: Ms. Behar is not as far gone as Ms. O'Donnell: "When Ms. O'Donnell declared "just one second, radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America," Ms. Behar did not cheer her one and instead stammered, ""But, but Christians are not threatening to kill us. There's that difference. This group is threatening to kill us."

Once called "The Queen of Nice," Ms. O'Donnell is now the Queen of Nuts.
