Obama's outrageous "religious" advisers
By Michael Gaynor

Ironically, Obama disassociated himself from Rev. Wright not because Rev. Wright is a bigoted anti-American Black Liberation theologian who said many hateful and outrageous things in sermons at Trinity United Church of Christ, but...BECAUSE REV. WRIGHT TOLD THE TRUTH ABOUT OBAMA BEING A TYPICAL POLITICIAN!

Is there something in Chicago's water that explains the connections among rookie United States Senator and current Democrat presidential frontrunner Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., Rev. Jeremiah A. "God damn America" Wright, Jr.," Senior Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, the Obama famiy's long-time church of choice, Rev. Otis Moss III, Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, Rev. Michael Pfleger, the white pastor of Chicago's predominantly black Saint Sabina Roman Catholic Church and long Obama's favorite Catholic priest and an original member of his Catholic Advisory Committee, and Louis Farrakhan, Minister of the Chicago-based Nation of Islam?

Of course, no one, not even a prospective President of the United States of America, should be held responsible for everyone said or done by his supporters, be they reverends, ministers or rabbis or not.

But, in Obama's case, his associations with these "men of the cloth" demonstrates, at the very best, that his judgment is abysmal.

It took Obama twenty years to figure out and disassociate himself from Rev. Wright?

I believed Obama when he said last year that in the first year of an Obama presidency he would meet without preconditions with the likes of Castro of Cuba and Kim of North Korea and that anti-Semitic nutcase who is the president of Iran.

I still do.

Obama happily associates with plenty of people with whom a really smart person would not, and he is both naive and arrogant as well as cunning.

Obama finally had to disassociate himself from Rev. Wright, as a matter of political necessity, but only after Rev. Wright told the world at a televised appearance at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., that as an ambitious politician seeking election Obama had to say things that he did not really believe.

Rev. Wright's good friend, Rev. Pfleger, recently made it necessary for Obama to disassociate himself from despicable remarks that Rev. Ffleger made at Trinity United Church of Christ as an invited speaker.

Obama said that he was "deeply disappointed" by Rev. Pfleger's sermon at his church that mocked his rival for the 2008 Democrat presidential nomination, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Rev. Pfleger said that Senator Clinton's eyes welled with tears before the New Hampshire primary because she felt "entitled" to the Democratic nomination and expected to win it, and she was upset with Obama having become popular and being "a black man stealing [her] show."

Rev. Pfleger: "She just always thought that, 'This is mine. I'm Bill's wife. I'm white'. ... And then, out of nowhere, came 'Hey, I'm Barack Obama.' And she said, 'Oh damn, where did you come from? I'm white. I'm entitled. There's a black man stealing my show.'"

A showman like his pal Rev. Wright, Rev. Pfleger had even parodied Senator Clinton, sobbing and wiping her face with a handkerchief," and added, "She wasn't the only one crying. There was a whole lot of white people crying."

Obama said he was "deeply disappointed" by Rev. Pfleger's comments.

I'm sure: they hurt his chance of winning and he realizes it.

Rev. Pfleger eventually apologized, sort of, after the media reported what he had done. "These words are inconsistent with Senator Obama's life and message and I am deeply sorry if they offended Senator Clinton or anyone else who saw them," Rev. Pfleger said.

The Clinton campaign rightly denounced Pfleger's comments: "Divisive and hateful language like that is totally counterproductive in our efforts to bring our party together and have no place at the pulpit or in our politics. We are disappointed that Senator Obama didn't specifically reject Father's Pfleger's despicable comments about Senator Clinton, and assume he will do so."

Last March, Rev. Wright's first public appearance after America began to really learn what he is about was at Rev. Pfleger's church, at his invitation and he embraced Rev. Wright in the church.

Rev. Pfleger previously hosted Louis Farrakhan at St. Sabina and called him "a gift from God to a sick, sick world."

Are you surprised?

Catholic League president Bill Donohue commented as follows on the Rev. Pfleger scandal:

"Most commentators are already focusing on the inappropriateness of the race-baiting comments by Father Pfleger. More serious is the venue in which he delivered his diatribe and his long-standing ties to Sen. Obama.

"Father Pfleger's tirade would be inexcusable anywhere, but it is even more offensive when it happens in a church. It does not matter that it was not his own, nor does it matter that it happened in a church that has a record of allowing demagogues to exploit it. When churches become forums for political rallies, both religion and the First Amendment are corrupted.

"Obama and Pfleger are no strangers. Indeed, when Obama was in the state senate in Illinois, he conveniently arranged for Father Pfleger's St. Sabina's Church to receive state monies for its social programs. Of course, the guardians of church and state separation said nothing then and they are saying nothing now. That's because they're all in the tank for Obama. Just as important, why is it that of all the wonderful Catholic priests in the Chicago Archdiocese, Obama long ago chose Pfleger to hang with? Truth be known, Pfleger has a very troubling history: he has welcomed the anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan to preach in his church; he has hired prostitutes to worship there; he has been arrested for defacing billboards; and he once urged the crowd at an anti-gun rally to hunt down a gun store owner 'like a rat' and 'snuff' him.

"Senator Obama says he wants to bring people together. Then why does he choose as his clerical friends people like Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Father Pfleger? They are two peas in a pod, both equally divisive, separated only by the color of their skin."

Mr. Donohue understands clearly.

Why would ANY Catholic priest support a supporter of infanticide like Obama?

Why would ANYONE support a supporter of infanticide like Obama?
