Thanks to whistleblowers, the truth is catching up to President Obama

President Obama's pledge to make his the most transparent administration in America history certainly has not been fulfilled, but now it appears that more and more Americans can see right through him.

Unfortunately, lies can be effective for quite a while.

Fortunately, the truth can prevail and that is happening here in the United States.

America's Mark Twain and English fundamentalist Baptist preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon understood lies.

"'Truth is mighty and will prevail' – the most majestic compound fracture of fact which any of woman born has yet achieved. For the history of our race, and each individual's experience, are sewn thick with evidences that a truth is not hard to kill, and that a lie well told is immortal." – Twain, "Advice to Youth," 15 April 1882

"The most outrageous lies that can be invented will find believers if a man only tells them with all his might." – Twain, Letter to San Francisco Alta California, dated May 17, 1867; published June 16, 1867

"Carlyle said 'a lie cannot live.' It shows that he did not know how to tell them." – Twain's Autobiography; Twain in Eruption

"The glory which is built upon a lie soon becomes a most unpleasant incumbrance. How easy it is to make people believe a lie, and how hard it is to undo that work again!" – Twain in Eruption

"The silent colossal National Lie that is the support and confederate of all the tyrannies and shams and inequalities and unfairnesses that afflict the peoples – that is the one to throw bricks and sermons at." – Twain, "My First Lie and How I Got Out of It"

Spurgeon, in a sermon delivered on April 1, 1855: "A lie will go round the world while truth is pulling its boots on."

President Obama's blatant lies about his ACORN ties are not generally known even now. When ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief came forward before Election Day 2008 to expose some of them and the illicit relationship between the Obama presidential campaign and ACORN family member Project Vote, for which MonCrief had worked, both The New York Times and ABC were either woefully blind or guilty of shameless complicity. See "Why Obama and ACORN Fear Anita MonCrief" (www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=081029), "ACORN WHISTLEBLOWER: OBAMA'S THIRD STRIKE?" (www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=081022) and "Does NYT Know MORE About Obama/ACORN?" (www.webcommentary.com/php/ShowArticle.php?id=gaynorm&date=081020).

In 2010 MonCrief connected with Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of True the Vote and King Street Patriots, still awaiting 501(c)(3) status after nearly three years from the Obama IRS. Moncrief joined the True the Vote advisory board to promote election integrity as only a former Project Vote insider can. So too did J. Christian Adams, the Justice Department whistleblower and career lawyer who resigned because he could not stay when the Obama/Holder Justice Department opted to treat voter intimidation by Black Panthers as trivial.

Before Election Day 2012 The New York Times ran a hit piece on Engelbrecht, MonCrief and True the Vote: "Looking, Very Closely, for Voter Fraud" (www.nytimes.com/2012/09/17/us/politics/groups-like-true-the-vote-are-looking-very-closely-for-voter-fraud.html).

Obama won reelection, because too many voters were duped, but in 2013 a plethora of scandals – Benghazigate, APgate, FoxNewsreporterJeffreyRosengate, IRSgate, NSAleaksgate and CatherineEngelbrechtgate – garnered great public attention and threaten to prompt voters to put aside the NBC advice to Lean Forward and instead Look Back and see that they were deceived.

The likelihood of that critically important enlightenment occurring increased significantly thanks to Edward Snowden daring to go public last Sunday.

"Edward Snowden comes forward as source of NSA leaks" (http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/intelligence-leaders-push-back-on-leakers-media/2013/06/09/fff80160-d122-11e2-a73e-826d299ff459_story.html?wpisrc=al_comboNP):

"A 29-year-old man who says he is a former undercover CIA employee said Sunday that he was the principal source of recent disclosures about top-secret National Security Agency programs, exposing himself to possible prosecution in an acknowledgment that had little if any precedent in the long history of U.S. intelligence leaks.

"Edward Snowden, a tech specialist who has contracted for the NSA and works for the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, unmasked himself as a source after a string of stories in The Washington Post and the Guardian that detailed previously unknown U.S. surveillance programs. He said he disclosed secret documents in response to what he described as the systematic surveillance of innocent citizens."

Snowden stated that President Obama has failed to live up to his pledges of transparency and that his "sole motive is to inform the public as to that which is done in their name and that which is done against them."

President Obama's pledge to make his the most transparent administration in America history certainly has not been fulfilled, but now it appears that more Americans can see right through him.
