Clinton ALERT: Americans stingy with foreign aid
By Kaye Grogan
Former President Bill Clinton is way off base, when he tells Europeans: Americans are stingy when it comes to being generous with foreign aid. Of course, Clinton is not counting the foreign aid we give right here in America to foreigners eating our money up like competitors in a food eating contest. Clinton goes on to say that Americans are under the impression they are giving more money to foreign aid — then is actually allocated to these countries. Why should Americans be expected to keep up foreign countries? Get real Mr. Clinton! Although I'm sure foreigners would welcome more money suppliers from America — including you.
Clinton went on to tell anyone foolish enough to take what he was saying seriously, about how stingy Americans really are. Hold on here a minute Mr. Clinton — are you labeling Americans stingy because they don't give more "moolah" to foreign aid personally, above and beyond what the government rips off of Americans for foreign aid — or is this ridiculous statement to help gain favor as a replacement for U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan?
Not only is this a slap in the face of all Americans that you pretend to care about their well-being — it is also totally absurd! I don't see how bad-mouthing Americans is justified by you Mr. Clinton. If painting Americans in a bad light helps you to build-up your popularity in foreign countries, then your allegiance to America is close to an insufferable stage.
Most of us already know your next dream is to rule the world, but really must you "flit" around the globe trying to win the favor of foreign countries by "bashing" your fellow Americans Mr. Clinton?
The former president is also misguided when he made the comment he thinks illegal immigrants will help Social Security. They'll help out alright . . . help to drain the (already in trouble) fund faster than a newly "unclogged" sink!
Our trade off agreement with North American Free Trade Act (NAFTA) signed into law by you, Mr. Clinton, assures China they will be competitive in all areas with America — including the ability to destroy America, if a war between the two nations were to breakout. It seems like I heard how all Americans were going to be released from the deficit bondage — getting filthy rich off of China. Well, as with everything else, this salad didn't congeal either.
If we start seeing birds flying backwards — we'll know they swapped brains with politicians.
I can see the antiwar group in congress trying to get out of war with China now, after telling the world we're bullies and Nazis'. Boy this gibberish is going to come back and haunt quite a few — when push comes to shove. The great "divide" in America is eventually going to cause the fall of America. Our enemies are probably laughing like hyenas as they observe how messed up and divided Americans are.
Not too long ago, I overheard a discussion about how ridiculous it was and is for our illustrious government to put foreign countries upon a pedestal. But the real "punch" in the discussion is how great it would be if all of the American politicians packed their clothes and moved to the foreign countries they seem to prefer over America. I agree! I seriously doubt that any of the politicians would be missed — especially their "lackluster" way of conducting simple everyday business in congress. Did I say conducting business?...scratch that one!
With all due respect Mr. Clinton — don't you think you would be better served if you portrayed your fellow Americans as loyal to their own country, and cause above other nations? If people like Ted Turner and George Soros want to be pious by bestowing millions and billions of dollars to the United Nations, let them have at it, since they have money to burn.
I'm still trying to figure out what former President Clinton has to say to foreign groups lining his pockets with thousands of dollars in speaking fees. I guess this proves how accurate the old adage is when one thinks about the saying: there's a fool born every minute.
