Non-predictions for 2006!

2005 is now history, and 2006 has broken through to bring us who knows what. This column is not going to be a look backwards to the year that was. Nor is it going to be some silly look ahead, or filled with predictions either. Frankly, I used to feel obligated to write either a review of the previous year column or a look ahead piece. My predictions always feel flat anyway so you will not be missing much at all.
Instead this year, I am going to put together this column, and hopefully, shed some light on not what I think or hope will happen in 2006, but rather what will not happen.
First of all President Bush will NOT be impeached! Despite the rumblings in the Liberal talking circuits and in the media, the "I" word will not come to be a reality. Frankly, the recent demands that President Bush be impeached are baseless and amount to nothing more than wishful thinking for the Michael Moore mindset!
Howard Dean will certainly NOT shut up or cease his loony outbursts in 2006 either. Face it kids, this guy is a poster child for foot in mouth disease.
The mainstream media will NT wake up and realize why their ratings and circulation rates are plummeting. Their problem is not so much their leftist bias, but it is that they do not admit to themselves that they have such a bias. They will continue to whine about bloggers and Fox News and talk radio, when the answer to their problem is their own stubbornness.
The wars on Christmas, Southern heritage, the Founding Fathers, and public displays of religion will NOT go away or diminish in the least. Let us face the reality here, the Leftists in this nation are not going to wake up, and become more tolerant in 2006.
The Left is not going to suddenly start supporting our troops, or truly loving America, or respecting the lives of the unborn, or our right to self-defense. So look not for anything but stepped up attacks on religion, America, and our traditions.
The United Nations will NOT switch gears and become a credible world body dedicated to spreading freedom and justice throughout the world. The UN will also NOT become a pro-American body but will continue to be a body of useful idiots for terrorist apologists and Marxists.
No matter how well things go in Iraq, or how many America troops come home, the Left will NOT ever say anything positive or remotely upbeat about that new democracy.
College football will, very sadly, NOT hold playoffs either. It might happen one day, and they might even take a very small step towards a playoff system, but you can forget about any legitimate playoffs for the next few years.
Those who are pro-choice will surely NOT admit their position is both intellectually and morally indefensible. No way, that will ever happen. Their agenda of Leftism is too well served by the cheapening of human life for them to stop reveling in the barbarism that is abortion on demand.
Sarah Brady and other gun grabbers who support her will NOT suddenly look at the crime stats and figure out that Armed Americans stop many more violent crimes than criminals use guns to commit crimes. Like abortion, gun control is crucial to forwarding the agenda of the Neo-Marxists disguising themselves as Liberals. Armed Americans equal free Americans and that is decidedly NOT what the Neo-Marxists desire for us.

Arianna Huffington will NOT get any less annoying, or any less full of herself.
Je$$e Jackson, will NOT stop his race baiting ways. It pays him too much to ever stop.
Al Franken will NOT say anything even remotely resembling a coherent, intellectual, statement.
Michael Moore will NOT make any film with any truth in it at all.
Robert Jensen, professor at the University of Texas, and anti-American mouthpiece will still NOT answer my challenge to debate the greatness of America, which I issued in a column last year.
Cindy Sheehan will NOT ever be truly relevant at all. She is nothing more than a useful idiot for terrorists and their apologists.
Finally, the networks will NOT stop putting these mind-numbing reality shows on TV.
