Truthfulness in reporting
By Cynthia A. Janak

When I started on this journey of reporting about Gardasil, I knew that there would be some that would do their best to discredit my findings. That is typical of journalism. So I have been expecting the barrage that I am receiving from one source and his pro-better life through chemicals sect*.

First I am going to address his one valid concern which is over a word from a study that I referenced in my last article. The word was attenuate.

Main Entry:
1at•ten•u•ate
Pronunciation: \ə-ˈten-yə-wət, -yü-ət\
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English attenuat, from Latin attenuatus, past participle of attenuare to make thin, from ad- + tenuis thin — more at thin
Date: 15th century
1 : reduced especially in thickness, density, or force 2 : tapering gradually usually to a long slender point <attenuate leaves>

Main Entry:
2at•ten•u•ate
Pronunciation: \ə-ˈten-yə-ˌwât, -yü-ˌât\
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): at•ten•u•at•ed; at•ten•u•at•ing
Date: 1530
transitive verb 1 : to make thin or slender 2 : to make thin in consistency : rarefy 3 : to lessen the amount, force, magnitude, or value of : weaken 4 : to reduce the severity, virulence, or vitality of attenuated virus> intransitive verb : to become thin, fine, or less
at•ten•u•a•tion \-ˌten-yə-ˈwâ-shən, -yü-ˈâ-\ noun

He took this from the study that I referenced called "Surfactants Attenuate Gas Embolism-induced Thrombin Production.[1]"

The study proved that surfactants are inert. Here is the quote. "Thus, the surfactants are biologically inert as direct inhibitors or activators of thrombin formation, yet lower thrombin concentrations resulted in the sparging experiments with the surfactant present."

This is what he said to discredit my article.

You know from that that we have to come back to polysorbate-80. Remember, it's a surfactant, and leave it to Mrs. Janak to find an article that (she thinks) links surfactants and histidine to dire consequences, mainly blood clots, another alleged horrific complication of Gardasil. To this end, she demonstrates that she can't even read. She takes an article entitled Surfactants Attenuate Gas Embolism-induced Thrombin Production.

What he fails to tell his readers is that the basis of the study was not what was important. It was one observation by the researchers. This is their quote "The time-dependent enhancement of thrombin production presented in figure 1B also appears in the data obtained using quiescent whole blood samples with and without exposure to histamine, as is depicted in figure 2A. Only means ± SDs of the peak fluorescence intensity data (emission wavelength, 460 nm) for each group at each time point are shown. The level of blood activation increased slightly more than 2-fold in the untreated quiescent sample after 30 min. In the histamine-treated sample, thrombin production increased more than 5-fold from the baseline value after 30 min. After the initial time point, significantly more thrombin was formed in the histamine-activated samples (P < 0.004 in all cases)."

As you can see the part of importance is underlined and it talks about the reaction of the histamine treated sample. What he is leading his readers to believe is that I am stating that the Polysorbate80 is causing the clotting and that is not true. What I did say was that the addition of Histamine has the real chance to cause an increase in clotting when added to a surfactant.

He also does not like the fact that I am honest enough to state that I am not a research scientist and that I beg to have my findings proven or disproven. "It's also too bad that she clearly doesn't understand the science. Indeed, she freely admits that she doesn't understand the science, but keeps trying to make connections between studies anyway," Yes, I will keep trying to make the connections because they are there. If you take the studies independent of each other you will not make the connection but when you open your mind to look at the whole picture you can see a relation to all the studies dealing with histidine and histamine.

He also does not like the fact that I try to make my articles understandable to you, my readers and not some PhD, MD, etc. types with all the consonants after their names. This is what he said. "Mrs. Janak then goes not to the medical literature but to a website hawking supplements for her "definition" of histidine," What he does not tell his readers is that I picked this site because of the ease of understanding the definition. He also does not tell his readers that I stated that I do not endorse the product. Again, he misleads his readers.

Oh and then there is this one. This is good. "Correlation does not necessarily equal causation, and in this case it almost certainly does not. Mrs. Janak's ignorance of the basics of the field she purports to pontificate about is about as laughable as it gets, especially her self-righteous anger based on nothing more than ignorance:"

This is the paragraph that he is referencing. I am begging the FDA, CDC and Merck to please please look at my findings. I am not a research scientist but I was the one to have to put the pieces of this epidemic together for you. Check out the dates of the studies that I have referenced. This information was available pre-licensure of Gardasil. Find out who was asleep at the switch to let all these findings be ignored.

Again he does not tell his readers about the paragraph that preceded this one. Look at all this. I mean really look at this. We have the same symptoms that the girls are going through. How much more can I give to prove that we have the causative factor involved with this new epidemic we are experiencing with this vaccine.

He feels that I preach, am self-righteous and angry. I think he needs to look into his ego only to see that he is the one that preaches, is self-righteous and angry.

I was merely upset as in a sad way and I beg for someone to just look with an open mind. I have talked to the families of the girls affected and know the frustration that they are going through because the doctors do not know how to treat their conditions. The doctors do not even know what triggered what is causing these girls to suffer so severely.

I want to tell you about this person and why, in my opinion, he feels this way.

So it would be to his advantage to have people sick so they go to his practice for services. Have his practice run the numerous tests that these girls are having done at a cost. Also, if you look at some of his posters you will see that they also have their own blogs and connections to the medical community.

What would be their advantage to speaking out that this vaccine could be a problem? None. They want to keep their grant money and jobs. If people stop getting sick all the time because they take care of themselves with nutrition and hygiene and alternative medicine then they would be out of business. Let us put more chemicals in our body that cannot be processed properly.

Why not a few more "PLACEBO" studies with the carrier solutions and alum in them. That is what I call a placebo. NOT.

These are the types of people that want you to vaccinate your children with unsafe vaccines like Gardasil, in my opinion. They talk of forced vaccinations quite frequently and respond to many news articles as "concerned pro-vax parents."

So who are you going to believe? Make up your own mind with the facts. Whenever I read a blog such as the one I quoted above I make sure that I find the source and read that in its entirety first before commenting. I do not take part of the article and spin it to my advantage. I present what I find and give my opinion and I expect you to do your own research and educate yourself to the truth.

*Sect — The English sociologist Roy Wallis[7] argues that a sect is characterized by "epistemological authoritarianism": sects possess some authoritative focus for the legitimate attribution of heresy. According to Wallis, "sects lay a claim to possess unique and privileged access to the truth or salvation and "their committed adherents typically regard all those outside the confines of the collectivity as 'in error.'"
