Democrat Senator Russ Feingold: another Al Gore
By Marie Jon
Strikingly unconventional and far-fetched are words to describe what came out of the mouth of a liberal Democrat named Senator Russ Feingold. His comments were abashing. Censure President Bush? We have heard lie upon lie flung recklessly at our troop's Commander-in-Chief for more than four years. Americans are fed up listening to certain people who call the president a liar. (http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/03/13/feingold.censure/)
Our legislators are supposed to be well educated, intelligent men and women of integrity. But the aggressive madness and shrill coming from the left is nothing more than blatant outlandish politicizing. Their words and actions are reckless and seditious behavior. Their deeds cause our country great harm by encouraging unnecessary discourse amongst their fellow countrymen. Such conduct emboldens our enemies to become even more steadfast in their evil doing.
The senator's words sounded as if he were possessed by lunacy. Men such as Feingold are fraudulent willful attackers. Politicians as such are without shame. They are arrogant hypocritical talkers. He and others like him are on the cutting edge of negativity and failure. They do not appeal to the backbone of this nation.
If Democrats feel that they are gaining sway with the silent majority, they will be sadly mistaken come election day. In spite of polls that show President Bush in a slump, most people quietly are staying the course. They understand that we have not been hit by terrorist's attacks since 9/11. Joe and Jane citizen are in lock step with domestic eavesdropping program.
"A liberal Democratic senator who is considering a White House bid in 2008 said Sunday he is seeking to censure President Bush over his domestic eavesdropping program. The Senate majority leader called it "a crazy political move."
A censure resolution, which simply would scold the president, has been used just once in U.S. history — against Andrew Jackson in 1834.
Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold, a longtime critic of the Bush administration, said he hoped a censure would cause Bush to apologize for the warrantless surveillance that he put in place on his own after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001." Associated Press
The truth is that warrantless surveillance has been used in the past through all wars by different administrations. We do not have to go to far back to see this is true.
In 1977, Jimmy Carter and his attorney general, Griffin B. Bell, authorized warrantless electronic surveillance during the investigation of two men convicted for spying on behalf of Vietnam.
Bill Clinton used warrantless searches. Clinton believed the president had such authority. His Deputy Attorney General, Jamie Gorelick, stood before the House Intelligence Committee in July 1994 and testified on behalf of Clinton's actions.
President Bush keeps America safe every day. He is breaking no laws. Yet, these far left seekers of the presidency in 2008, will do and say anything, including plotting an impeachment.
A Democrat attorney, Elizabeth Holtzman, who served four terms in Congress, is looking for excuses to impeach the president. She, among others, would enjoy seeing our president wrongly punished for her own bizarre leftist gratification. President Bush is hated by liberals. We should ask who the far left really is, and what is their agenda?
The Democrats come off looking un-American, anti-support of the troops, and sarcastic befuddled losers. On too many occasions, they have attacked the brave men and women fighting a war on terror. "Durbin apologized for comparing American interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp to Nazis and other historically infamous figures." Congressmen Murtha said" our military is broken." Senator John Kerry's unkind words were that our "U.S. soldiers terrorize kids'
Vigilant and silent Americans will not forget what they have seen taking place in this country. None will forget the role the Democrats played, along with a biased media, to undermine our president and the war on terror.
Shame on them both for working against America and the good people of Iraq with disparaging words and lack of confidence.
God bless President George Bush and patriotic Americans who won't give up or back down. We have all the confident in winning over evil and righting the wrongs. If you are a doubting Thomas, then ask for faith. "Oh Ye of little faith" (Matthew 8:26 ) (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=8&verse=26&version=31&context=verse)
