Try Obama for treason
By Larry Klayman
March 25, 2012

In the last weeks in particular — following the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House to discuss the Iranian nuclear threat — Barack Hussein Obama has stepped up his "Muslim crusade" to discredit the Jewish state's assessment that Iran is close to acquiring weapons of mass destruction and that a pre-emptive joint military strike is now necessary. In this way, Obama hopes to justify his refusal to join with Israel to use force to remove these nuclear weapons before they are targeted against the Jewish state, the United States and our European allies to further Tehran's Islamic revolution. Outrageously, in so doing Obama's "evil anti-Semitic and anti-Christian express" has committed additional acts of treason against the United States, seriously compromising our national security.

In front-page lead stories of last Sunday and Monday in the New York Times, Obama administration henchmen, obviously as his direction, have leaked high-level intelligence information to discredit Israeli claims of Iranian nuclear capabilities and to blame Jews and by extension sympathetic Christians if war erupts with Iran following a unilateral Israeli pre-emptive strike. If you or I had been responsible for somehow getting our hands onto this classified information and leaking it to the press, under our nation's laws against treason and aiding and abetting the enemy — in this case Iran — we would would most certainly be criminally charged and, if convicted, could be given the death penalty. Indeed, in a similar and recent classified information dump — this one by Sgt. Bradley Manning of the Wikileaks scandal — this officer has been so charged and, ironically, Obama himself, effectively as commander in chief, is asking a military tribunal to have him executed.

The criminal law for civilians, at 18 U.S.C. 2381, provides just one example of the consequences for engaging in acts of treason. Its states: "Whoever owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States." The military code of justice also carries the death penalty as a possible sentence.

In the New York Times story of last Sunday, entitled "U.S. Faces a Tricky Task in Assessment of Data on Iran," written by James Risen, the paper's top national security reporter, he dutifully discloses Obama's politically motivated classified-information breach, however manipulated and falsified the administration's so-called findings. He writes:

"Today, as suspicions about Iran's nuclear ambitions have provoked tough sanctions and threats of military confrontation, top administration officials have said that Iran still has not decided to pursue a weapon, reflecting the intelligence community's secret analysis. ... As a result, officials caution that they cannot offer certainty. 'I'd say that I have about 75 percent confidence in the assessment that they haven't restarted the program,' said one former senior intelligence official. ...

"Mossad, Israel's intelligence service, agrees with the American intelligence assessment, even while Israeli political leaders have been pushing for a quick, aggressive action to block Iran from becoming what they describe as an existential threat to the Jewish state. ... 'There is not a lot of dispute between the U.S. and Israeli intelligence communities on the facts'. ...

"While the National Security Agency eavesdrops on the telephone conversations of Iranian officials and conducts other forms of electronic surveillance, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency analyzes radar imagery and digital images of nuclear sites. ... Clandestine ground sensors, which can detect electromagnetic signals or radioactive emissions that could be linked to covert nuclear activity, are placed near suspect Iranian facilities. The United States also relies heavily on information gathered by inspectors with the International Atomic Energy Agency. ...

"And, today despite criticism ... American intelligence analysts still believe that the Iranians have not gotten the go-ahead from Ayatollah Khamenei to revive the (nuclear weapons) program."

There you have it! Obama, through his proxies inside of the U.S. intelligence community, released our "sources and methods" for gathering spy data on the Iranian nuclear program, an act of treason even worse than what Wikileaks leaker Sgt. Manning has been charged with.

And, if this were not enough to damage our national security, the next day, Monday, March 19, Obama then leaked classified U.S. war intelligence through New York Times reporters Mazetti and Shanker in an article entitled "U.S. War Game Sees Perils of Israeli Strike Against Iran," in a cynical and transparent effort to set up Israeli and pro-Israel American Jews and Christians as the scapegoats if there are resulting American casualties. They write:

"A classified war simulation held this month to assess the repercussions of an Israeli attack on Iran forecasts that the strike would lead to a wider regional war, which could draw in the United States and leave hundreds of Americans dead, according to officials."

The article then discloses classified U.S. war scenarios, plans and contingencies — actions which clearly aid and abet our enemy, the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Over my decades of legal activism in Washington, D.C., and elsewhere, I have witnessed other American presidents disclosing classified information to suit their own political ends, but never to such an extent as now. This more than egregious classified-information dump, however falsified, is perhaps the worst in American history — not only for its evil motivation to harm the Jewish state but even more importantly to harm U.S. national security.

Our so-called president must not only be quickly removed from office by all legal means, but he must also be prosecuted for treason. If the Justice Department or a military tribunal won't act, then the "citizen's grand jury," which the Supreme Court has acknowledged exists in principle in the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, must now be taken out of the legal closet to indict Obama for these treasonous acts.

The nation's national security and well-being depend on quick and forceful justice for this truly evil president and commander in chief — particularly since time is short with regard to Islamic Iran and its nuclear plans to annihilate Israel and to kill other infidels, meaning Jews and also Christians worldwide.
