My fight against Obama's abuse of power
By Larry Klayman

"Nobody is listening to your telephone calls."

These are the words of our American "führer," President Barack Hussein Obama, who, however unbelievable, found it necessary to "reassure" the rabble of this great nation Friday that he, "Big Brother," is not spying on it in the wake of revelations of widespread searches of over 100 million Verizon cellphone subscribers and users and the illegal warrants he had issued and executed on Fox News and Associated Press employees and management. As a Verizon user myself, I am directly affected by these criminal unconstitutional searches and seizures, and I have filed suit to hold Obama, his attorney general, Eric Holder, my alma mater, the U.S. Justice Department, the head of the National Security Agency (NSA) Keith B. Alexander, the head of Verizon and the judge who illegally issued the warrant, Roger Vinson, accountable to the people.

It is unlikely Congress will do so, since they are the ones who passed the heinous and perversely applied Patriot Act – which had been repeatedly used as a pretext to violate our privacy. Already establishment politicians like Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, some Republican congressmen and senators like Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and sleazy, over-stuffed Bush administration hacks like Karl Rove are incredibly attempting to justify this unprecedented and overly broad intrusion into our privacy, first instituted under President George W. Bush but now taken to the extreme by the "führer," as necessary to combat terrorists. In case of Obama, however, his use of these invasive warrants is likely for other ulterior abusive reasons, meaning that they are a means to further his pro-Muslim, anti-Israel, anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, anti-white, pro-homosexual, pro-illegal immigrant, pro-abortion, pro-atheist, socialist and ultra leftist agendas with what many perceive to be his desire to impose a dictatorial, tyrannical hold on our citizenry. Even the liberal commentator on Fox News, Bob Beckel, much to his credit, is outraged and frightened by Obama's illegal power grab. And that's not to mention the New York Times, which has found it necessary to "re-evaluate" Obama and stated in an editorial that "The administration has now lost all credibility."

Rest assured that not only Verizon played along with this illegal government outrage, but other cellphone, telephone land line and Internet providers as well.

Here is what I said in the press release announcing my lawsuit, which will soon be converted into a class action:

"Here, there is no doubt that this massive illegal seizure had to be authorized at the highest levels of the executive branch, which necessarily leads to the president, attorney general and the director of the NSA. These violations of free speech, prohibitions against unreasonable searches and seizures, and due process rights are unprecedented in American history. They make the fictional scenarios depicted in the literary works of George Orwell's '1984¡ä and Ayn Rand's 'Atlas Shrugged' look tame, particularly when coupled with other burgeoning government scandals concerning the IRS, the equally illegal seizure of phone records of Fox News and AP, and other abuses of power. It would appear that Obama and his government 'yes men' know no constitutional bounds, and the courts are no longer 'independent' such that they will protect American citizens from this tyranny. This is why Roger Vinson, the judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, has also been sued in his personal capacity. As an Article II jurist, who is supposed to protect the people from the tyranny of the other two branches of government, his actions are as despicable as those of Obama, Holder and Alexander. It is high time that judges are held accountable as well to the rule of law and the edicts of our constitution."

See www.freedomwatchusa.org for copy of the complaint and press release.

The die has now been cast for all Americans and the world to see and experience. Coupled with the government's stockpiling of guns and ammunition, intimidation with internal security forces, which deploy black helicopters over our cities firing practice rounds, and other coercive tactics, it is no longer beyond imagination that Obama and his comrades may be intending to seize absolute power with the goal of relegating We the People as his slaves – never relinquishing power.

I for one have never advocated the use of violence to combat this government scourge, but certainly our Founding Fathers did when confronted, ironically, with a less evil tyrant. For now, the use of civil lawsuits, citizens grand juries and other peaceful means have to be pursued. In addition, our population needs to become better educated on the evils of this abusive government, run by someone who is bent on destroying the nation and remolding it in his own dastardly image. They must be motivated to join our revolution and not to sit idly by and allow our constitutional freedoms to be dismantled one by one.

We the People can only count on ourselves, not the politicians of either major political party in Washington, D.C. Democrats and Republicans continue to line their own pockets at the expense of the citizenry, and their hearings are mostly dog and pony shows to showcase their own imagined greatness.

In the words of our Founding Father and great American hero Patrick Henry, "If we wish to be free – if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending – if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained – we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight!"
