GOP establishment stokes revolution
By Larry Klayman

"If we have somebody who we think has been battle-tested, and has strong conservative principles and the ability to articulate them and they are nominated at this convention, there will be a lot of acrimony from the people who were seeking the nomination. But if its somebody who has, you know, has those convictions that they can express in a compelling way, we could come out of the convention in relatively strong position. ... And a fresh face might be the thing that could give us a chance to turn this election and win in November against Hillary."

– Karl Rove, Fox News political consultant

The die is cast. The "Porky Pig" of the Republican establishment, the corrupt and shameless Karl Rove, the GOP's "bobsy twin" of his sleazy equivalent in the Democratic Party, Clinton political consultant James Carville, has declared war on We the People. Unabashedly, Rove, speaking for the Republican establishment that has historically backed the likes of the Bush family and Mitt Romney in order to maintain their hold on power and money in Washington, D.C., has sent a message that voters like you and me are simply "inconvenient trash" when it comes to choosing a Republican nominee for president. Instead, special people – in effect the self-anointed new American nobility like Rove and other political consultants such as the insipid Mark Thiessen and editors like Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard and Rich Lowery of National Review – will arrogantly decide for us who will be the next president. They know better, and in the words of Alexander Hamilton, the nemesis of our great Founding Father and third President Thomas Jefferson, "The people are a great beast." Ironically, even President Obama has more respect for his constituency; he has steadfastly represented his "soul brothers" during the last seven plus years – leftist blacks, Muslims, Jew- and Christian-haters, feminists, gays, lesbians and transgenders, illegal aliens, anarchists and last but hardly least, atheists.

As I have written in this column before, the issue is not Donald Trump. The Donald, however uncontrolled and undisciplined his political speech and methodology, is simply the embodiment of the disdain if not outright hatred conservatives and libertarians feel for a Republican Party that has rolled over to Obama and betrayed them at every turn. They are more than disaffected white male voters; they are people who generally see the nation as in a fatal downward spiral. In the words of Kris Kristofferson, who wrote the famous song Janis Joplin sang with panache, "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose."

Trump, however flawed he may appear, is the embodiment of this; put simply, the American people have nothing to lose. The country is on life support and failing fast, and it needs an electric shock to gets its heart moving again. It does not matter that Trump is not a conservative. The Republican and other establishments need to be taken down before we all go under for the count. Trump is waging a revolution at the ballot box against political elitists he has candidly stated he once bribed with campaign contributions to get what he wanted. The likes of Rove, Thiessen, Kristol and Lowery and the congressman, senators and others they run interference and sleaze around Washington, D.C., for can easily be bought. In the words of Cuba Gooding Jr. in the epic film "Jerry McGuire": "Show me the Money!" and you can get what you want.

Well Rove, Thiessen, Kristol, Lowery and company, the citizenry have got news for you! Whether Trump wins or not, you are going to the political guillotines.

Today, the nation, under the so-called leadership of the opposition party, finds itself not just with a non-functional and costly government but a stagnant ever-growing socialist-oriented economy and increasing prohibitive taxes, open borders and amnesty for over 5 million aliens, many of whom are Muslims and actual or potential terrorists, an Iran nuclear treaty that puts the United States and Israel on a collision course with atomic war with Islam, the rise of reverse racism against whites a la Black Lives Matter, a related assault on the police, rising crime in the inner cities and a myriad of other terminal illnesses.

Top this all off with the emerging millennial generation of virtual zombies, young people who spend much of their entire day, even at work, texting, seeking cheap dates for the evening online, Facebooking, accessing pornographic and degenerate Internet sites, Snapchatting and Instagramming, all the while not even being able to put a sentence together without using the word "like" 20 of more times in a five-minute period of attempted discourse with their fellow youthful morons. It's no wonder that the most popular show on television is "The Walking Dead." Just watch the interviewees on Jesse Waters' "Waters' World" on Fox News to confirm that ignorant state of our emerging populace and the voter base that put Obama and his comrades in power, and are poised to now elect the Wicked Witch of the Left, Hillary Clinton, or the communist Bernie Sanders, who has offered to give these young Americans whatever government perk will get him elected.

Never before in modern history has the nation been closer to revolution. And, the irony is that this may be good. It's time that the entire rats nest in Washington, D.C., be cleaned out and that we start over again as in 1776. There still are many good and decent people who believe in the principles of our Founding Fathers, embodied in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It's time that a few good men and women – the Gideon's army of the republic – rise up to restore freedom, integrity, ethics and intellect to our great nation. Otherwise, whatever happens in this election cycle, we will remain the equivalent of "The Walking Dead."
