Morning Edition of November 18 (Renee Montagne/Sheera Frankel) produced an unacceptable, biased report "Attacks Target Palestinians in Israeli Towns charging that Israel is attempting to ethnically cleanse the state of Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs from Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Egypt who, in 1967, renamed themselves to form a fraudulent heritage to the land. They live in Judea and Samaria, which they renamed Gaza and the West Bank, and they are not citizens of Israel. On the other hand, Israeli Jews, Israeli Christians and Israeli Arabs are citizens of Israel. The latter chose to remain in Israel when the Arabs attacked; they became Israeli citizens and now live in peace with the Jewish and Christian citizens. You can see that the report is racist and libelous, with misinformation intended to disparage and inflame.

J'Accuse NPR of reporting that religious Zionist Jews will have ethnic-based housing in Jaffa, in order to inflame hatred against the State of Israel, without also reporting that the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality is to have their own ethnic-based housing for Arab citizens. Three of the four areas are within 1949 armistice lines.

J'Accuse NPR of reporting incidents of Jewish vandalism, but never mentioning Arab vandalism on centuries-old antiquities:
  • Jews are indigenous to the land and have maintained a continuous presence for more than 3,000 years, according to archaeological and historical evidence. Jewish civilization in Israel was already more than 1,000 years old when Rome destroyed the Holy Temple, of which the Western Wall remains, and conquered the Jewish nation in the first century.

  • The Al-Aqsa mosque was built on the Temple Mount, and the Arabs desecrated the substructure. Beneath the site were Solomon's Stables, where the Palestinians committed an antiquities crime of historic proportions. Archeological treasures/relics from the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem were found in the Kidron Valley amid rubble dumped by the Islamic authorities. The disrespect and removal of ancient artifacts is an ongoing problem, as Palestinians try to eradicate Jewish history. Among the artifacts were pottery from the Bronze Age and First Temple, and coins, arrowheads and figurines from the Hasmonean dynasty and before the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 C.E.

  • Also destroyed were stonework by Jewish artisans of 2,000 years ago — thousands of years of layered Jewish history were intentionally trashed.

  • Christian relics on the Temple Mount are also destroyed, haphazardly chopped, thereby also obliterating centuries of Christian history.

  • Synagogues of Jerusalem's Jewish Quarter were dynamited and destroyed by Arabs; Israel's policy is to honor all religions and not destroy their antiquities or houses of worship. So, even though the Muslims built a mosque on the area that was once the Temple of Solomon, the Jews granted the Arabs access to the mosque as a symbol of good will. The opposite has never been true. Muslims destroy and purposely build over what is not Islamic.

  • The 2500-year-old Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives that contained 250,000 tombstones was destroyed and desecrated by the Palestinians, and 38,000 tombstones were used to pave roads and latrines;

  • The Christian Holy Church of the Nativity was intentionally defiled by Palestinian terrorists, who purposely used pages of the Bible for toilet paper;

  • Islam breeds shame and pride, honor and humiliation, and the willingness to riot, burn, loot, rape, kill, and issue death threats. Once the Muslims were in Gaza, they bombed and burned Gazan churches, and Jewish synagogues in Jericho, Nablus, Gush Katif, were torched to the ground;

  • In violation of international law, Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem was turned into a mosque;

  • Joseph's Tomb in Nablus was torched, and 6 Israeli soldiers killed;

  • Shalom Al Yisrael synagogue in Jericho, was torched;

  • Under PA rule, archaeological sites (of Hasmonean kings and King Herod) were left to decay;

  • The Palestinian Administration allowed villages to encroach upon a synagogue on Mt. Hebron, where worshippers and tourists are now not permitted (despite Oslo Accords' guarantee);
There is little doubt that Palestinian authorities are conducting this assault on the Temple Mount to erase any vestige of archeological evidence for Jewish (and Christian) history. "In Arabic, this practice is known as Tams al-ma'alem, meaning 'erasing the signs' — destroying the relics of all cultures that preceded Islam.

It is time for NPR to correct Frenkel's aberrant report. Jews are the native people in Israel for more than 3,000 years, and one of the few ancient peoples who have survived into modern times. Judaism is among the world's oldest living religions (Christianity began 2,011 years ago, and Islam began in 624 AD). Rome renamed the Jewish state "Palestine," and Palestine was associated with Jews and the Jewish homeland until the mid-20th century. The Palestinian brigade that fought with England during WW II was a Jewish brigade; the Arabs fought on the side of the Nazis.

A Palestinian activist was quoted: "Arab people, they ready to live with the Jews. We are living with them for years by years. It's just Zionism made the Jewish people, the settlers, more and more racist."

The Arabs are not ready to live with Jews; they had 63 years to stop the attacks, the rockets, the missiles, and their classes and TV programs that continue to nurture a deep hatred of Jews in their children. Muslims killed Jews in Arab lands and they are now killing Christians. NPR's reports encourage the hateful propaganda, favor the Palestinian narrative, and Mahmoud Abbas says they will never recognize a Jewish State.

NPR has become Notorious for Palestinian Revisionism.

NPR owes its audience an apology and multiple corrections to reach the same listeners who have been misled on Morning Edition. It is time to truthfully expose their programming as the exceptionally deceitful news report that it is. The listeners deserve better.
