Left wing begins to attack Corsi
But their ammunition is weak
By Tom Kovach
A little more than a week ago, author and columnist Dr. Jerome Corsi was named as a possible candidate for president of the United States. The news came on 17 May 2007 when WorldNetDaily reported that the National Veterans Coalition chairman, Charles Jones III (Brigadier General, USAF, Retired), had recommended Corsi to the Constitution Party at their national meeting in April. Although he has not yet officially formed a campaign committee, Dr. Corsi does seem to be "making all the right moves" to position himself for a successful presidential campaign.
A situation that many conservatives might regard as a "badge of honor" began shortly after the news that Dr. Corsi might run for president. The political Left began to attack him. What does the Left fear from a man that quit his job and is not yet a candidate?
The truth!
On the very same day as the news that Corsi might run, the extreme Left-wing and wrongly named "People for the American Way" began trying to paint Corsi in a negative light. Specifically, the PFAW blog "Right Wing Watch" wrote a short hit piece in which they labeled Dr. Corsi's well-documented research exposing the North American Union plans as a "black helicopter conspiracy." The very next day, a small newspaper in State College, PA, tried to smear Dr. Corsi's exposure of the accompanying NAFTA Superhighway plans as a mere "rumor." Oddly, that same column listed what it called "several disparate efforts," and attempted to claim that those facts had no connection to each other nor to any master plan.
Yeah, right.
If the Left is this afraid of Jerome Corsi before he even officially becomes a candidate, then they must be worried about something. Could that something be the fact that Corsi has exposed a major globalist strategy to the piercing rays of public scrutiny? Could it be the fact that leaders of both of the Big Two political parties espouse the globalist agenda? Could it be that the Left knows that their plans will fail if the country votes for a candidate from the Constitution Party?
Regardless of the specific motives of the Left, the fact remains that they must be attacking Corsi for a reason. I would just remind those Leftists of an old country saying: "The scared dog barks first."
