Could the collider cause a comet collision?
Plan for a European experiment fits Biblical timetable -- for this month!
By Tom Kovach

A breaking news exclusive by WorldNetDaily shows that a European scientific agency plans to go forward with an unprecedented supercollider experiment, despite a lawsuit by a group of scientists. The lawsuit, regarding the potential danger of the experiment, asserts that it will create at least one "black hole" in the process of colliding atoms. The black hole has its own gravitational force. Could such an event draw in a space object for a collision with Earth? And, does such a scenario match events predicted in the Holy Bible? Yes!

The space agencies of various countries, including NASA, keep track of various categories of near-Earth objects (NEOs). The most dangerous category of NEO is the Potentially Hazardous Asteroid (PHA). According to the official NASA Web site, there are currently 977 PHAs being tracked. This reality is even more dramatic than the single asteroid tracked in the movie Deep Impact, yet it is not widely known. (Interestingly, NASA has an ongoing project with the same name.)

According to NASA's site, a NEO or a PHA can be "... nudged by the gravitational attraction of nearby planets," and thus be put onto a potential collision course with Earth. A black hole has its own gravity, which is said to be "irresistible." If the supercollider experiment in Europe produces a black hole — and, according to news reports about the lawsuit, the staff of the European Organization for Nuclear Research has admitted that it will — there is no way to predict the effect that it will induce. No black hole has ever been created by a human scientific experiment. Will the black hole be temporary, or permanent? Will it exist beneath Earth's surface, or will it be created in space? No one knows for sure.

What is widely believed among scientists, though, is that black holes have very strong gravitational pull. Thus, if the experiment produces even a "small" black hole, there is at least some possibility that it could cause a NEO to become a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid. (And, for the purposes of PHA tracking, such an "asteroid" could include a comet.) Even if the experiment is somehow projected away from Earth (although the facility is underground), any resulting black hole in space could have an effect on a comet or asteroid that was not previously considered dangerous. That would be like a car driving down the road, and a sink hole suddenly opens up in front of the car. The road was not previously considered dangerous, but the sink hole pulled the car in.

So, what does the above have to do with the Holy Bible?

My new book, Tribulation: 2008, answers that question in detail. It explains much more than what has already been revealed in the series of columns that sparked the creation of The Crossbow. In less than four weeks, an event will occur on the Hebrew calendar. That event, the Feast of Trumpets, along with the events leading up to it, lines up with End Times predictions in the Holy Bible.

Specifically, Revelation 8:7 says, "The first trumpet sounded, and hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all of the green grass was burned up." That verse describes the first event that follows the lightning, fires, and earthquake of Revelation 8:5 — which matches the lightning, fires, and earthquake that struck in and near Sacramento, California, a few weeks ago. That series of dramatic events began shortly after the California Supreme Court decided to overturn the law that banned homosexual "marriage." Activists have put together Proposition 8 to create a new and tougher law to ban homosexual "marriage." In the system of Hebrew numerology, eight is the number of The Messiah. There were eight days from Jesus' raising of Lazarus from the dead until Jesus' own triumph over death.

Messianic Jewish pastor Mark Biltz, of El Shaddai Ministries, is organizing a worldwide Feast of Trumpets 'wave' for this year. The event will have families, neighborhoods, congregations — or, perhaps, even entire cities — blowing the shofar (ram's horn trumpet) at the official sunset in every time zone around the world. According to observations and calculations presented in Tribulation: 2008, that event will correspond to the sounding of the first of the famous Seven Trumpets described in the Book of Revelation. The first trumpet marks the "official" start of the seven-year period known as The Tribulation. That period ends when Jesus comes back to put an end to the battle of Armageddon, the horribly destructive final battle against Israel.

Scientists describe a comet as essentially a "dirty snowball." A comet's nucleus is about equal parts ice and dust. In addition to the water content of the ice, the remainder of the nucleus includes frozen carbon dioxide, methane, and ammonia. When dust is scattered in Earth's upper atmosphere (as after a volcanic eruption or a thermonuclear detonation), the dust gives a reddish color to the cloud, or to anything seen through the dust layer (such as a "blood moon"). To the eye of a fisherman, given a vision two thousand years ago, a comet disintegrating as it enters Earth's atmosphere would look like "blood mingled with fire."

In such a scenario, the combination of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, and ammonia released into the atmosphere as the ice from a comet melts would produce a hazardous gas. Even if all people on Earth (and even animals) had time to take shelter from such an event, it would still be possible for the "acid rain" from such a melting comet to destroy plant life on Earth. That is exactly the scenario predicted in the above-cited Revelation verse.

Those interested in the predicitons of the Holy Bible — whether believeing Jews and Christians, or members of the merely curious — should examine things for themselves. The Feast of Trumpets is scheduled for Monday, the 29th of September this year. That is less than four weeks away. That is about the time of the grape harvest in Northern California wine country, where one of the same areas hit by the wildfires proclaims itself (via a taxpayer-funded site!) to be a "gay-friendly" vacation spot. The Book of Revelation predicts that wine will become a precious commodity during The Tribulation. Could that be a result of the destruction of one of the world's most famous wine-producing regions? And, is that destruction almost upon us?

Keep your eyes on the skies. Get ready to blow the trumpet, right along with the angel of God, on the appointed day. And, remember, you can't blow the shofar with your head pointed downward. "Now, when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." (Luke 21:28, emphasis added)
