Topinka leprechauns suspected of mischief
By J. Matt Barber

The Republican gubernatorial primary in Illinois has reached the boiling point, and the purported front runner, liberal Judy Baar Topinka, is apparently quite worried that opponent Jim Oberweis is poised to overtake her delicate lead just as she reaches the finish line. In Dupage County, and throughout Illinois, Oberweis yard signs, 4X4s, and 4X8s have mysteriously gone missing, and in their place. Topinka signs have miraculously appeared.

In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, perhaps Topinka is simply experiencing the luck of the Irish. It could be that a few sympathetic old-guard Leprechauns have taken up Judy's cause. except that she's not Irish.

Whatever is causing this phenomenon to take place, it certainally leads one to conclude — Somebody out there's worried that Judy's in big trouble, tucked away in her little hiding place. Perhaps these cheap shenanigans are the last-ditch and desperate effort indented to keep Jim Oberweis from doing a little spring cleaning come March 21st.
