Killing justice in America
By Pete Riehm

Americans cherish freedom. Freedom requires responsibility to be enjoyed, and effective responsibility requires strict accountability for anyone who fails to act responsibly. Circumstances vary and opinions differ, so fairness is paramount to ensure justice is served equitably. Therefore, Americans expect nothing less than the even application of the law to all citizens, regardless of ethnic or socio-economic background and especially with no regard for station in society or political affiliation. That’s why Americans are acutely aggravated with the dual standards of justice being applied by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). They have become particularly and patently partisan.

The DOJ and FBI are supposed to be interminably independent, unambiguously neutral, and uncompromisingly objective, so when they pick a side and repeatedly put their greasy fat thumbs on the scales of justice to favor their preferred political agenda, justice suffers immeasurably and freedom withers decidedly. Despite their self-righteous denials, their double standards are undeniable and obvious to any objective observer.

The utterly unimpressive Attorney General, Merrick Garland, regularly testifies before Congress with incredibly inadequate, incomplete explanations for his department’s abject ineptitude and blatant partisanship. Every time Garland speaks one wonders how he even graduated from law school. More subtle and perhaps more devious, FBI Director, Christopher Wray, oversees a rogue agency that surreptitiously spies on average Americans and routinely inserts itself into presidential politics.

Last week, Fox News’ Brett Baier interviewed a smug Wray who dodged questions about evident FBI malfeasance and defiantly dismissed any notions that the FBI was not independent and objective, despite myriad incidents of specific prejudice. Protesting the public record, an arrogant Wray blithely exposed his utter disregard for the American people and the Constitution,.despite his calculated claims to be “on our side.”

The lengthy list of FBI inconsistencies is disturbing. Amid the largest drug epidemic and surging crime, the FBI gladly turned their resources on average Americans when parents across the country started speaking up against draconian school board COVID mandates and imposition of all manner of inappropriate sex education. They insanely investigated concerned parents as possible domestic terrorists!

Consistent with leftist dogma, the FBI aggressively protects access to abortions. When anti-abortion “Pregnancy Centers” are attacked or vandalized, the FBI shows little interest as evidenced by their pitiful record of not solving those crimes. Oh, but should pro-life protesters step out of bounds, the FBI will be at your door. When Pennsylvania pro-life activist, Mark Houck, pushed a pro-abortion activist who was verbally harassing his 12-year-old son, dozens of FBI agents with guns drawn raided his home in the early morning to arrest this father in front of his seven crying school age children. Have we ever seen any FBI raids on ANTIFA or BLM rioters who attacked federal agents and property?! Houck was recently acquitted of all charges, but make no mistake, this was a scare tactic to dissuade pro-life protesters.

Both President Donald Trump and Joe Biden are alleged to have mishandled classified documents; and for that matter, President Barack Obama still has unresolved issues with the National Archives over classified documents. Biden has been found to have numerous classified documents in multiple locations. The FBI allowed Biden’s attorneys to conduct the searches and make the reports. Contrast that deference with the FBI’s very public show of force at Mar-a-Lago. The FBI raided Trump’s private residence with lights flashing and made Trump’s attorneys wait outside while they rummaged through everything including Melania’s under garment drawers.

Wray claimed both were handled the same, but the Trump raid was not about the classified documents, it was simply a sensational display to provide the media with the appearance of criminality. Both situations were known to the FBI before the 2022 midterm elections, Trump was raided prior to the election and Biden’s infractions were kept quiet until after the election. It was a purely political move to affect the midterm elections.

Perhaps the most egregious FBI manipulations come in presidential election years. In 2016, the FBI contrived a damning dossier to spy on presidential candidate Trump, and then perpetuated their fabricated hoax that Trump conspired with Russia to win the election. They viciously and without cause hobbled his administration for years. The FBI’s crazy erroneous accusations were finally debunked, but no one was ever held to account for their brazen election interference.

Coming into the 2020 election, the FBI had Hunter Biden’s laptop for over a year with mountains of evidence of influence pedaling by the Biden family all directly tied to Joe Biden, but they sat on it. Again, the FBI along with other intelligence officials adamantly asserted the Hunter laptop was Russian disinformation and to be disregarded. They even went to social media demanding they censor the story, and Twitter revealed the evidence of FBI interference. Now two years after Biden was selected, the FBI tacitly admits there is an investigation.

Why is the FBI now admitting there is something to the Hunter Biden laptop? With its reputation tattered and at an all time low, the FBI doesn’t really care what the public thinks, but they know the slim Republican majority in the House will thoroughly investigate their duplicity in these matters. So, Wray is on a public relations campaign to burnish their tarnished image. After years of silence, that’s why Wray casually admitted the FBI has long known COVID came from a lab leak. It was populist offering to the common man with common sense.

Wray knows the FBI is in trouble and should be, but he belies his fake humility. He insists the FBI is independent and objective, and he declares that he believes people make their opinions about the FBI solely on whether their side won or lost. What he means is that he thinks the American people are not objective and have no sense of fairness. He wants Americans to believe him and not their eyes.

Wray barely conceals his contempt for the American people, and his performance exposes his contempt for the Constitution. Wray should be fired immediately and investigated for his manifest corruption. His wayward agency routinely subverts justice. Wray and his FBI are a menace to justice. If America ever hopes to restore the rule of law, Wray must go soon!

“And moreover, I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there” (Ecclesiastes 3:16).
