Don't trust in government
By Grant Swank

Time and again, we put our trust in mortals who betrays us, lie to us, turn out to be mere dustballs like ourselves.

Yet generation after generation yearns for another mortal leader who will lead us into nirvana.

For those who do not know the God of the Bible, they have no other choice but to put their faith in faulty human beings. After all, these political opportunists promise the sky.

However, for disciples of Christ, they must be reminded not to put trust in government. Trust in God will yield an eternal promise that never fails.

"The testimony of the Lord is sure. . ."

That cannot be said of government. It cannot be said of officialdom in agencies, organizations and any other human structure. We are all a damaged lot. We are all victims of The Fall.

Therefore, our intentions, though at times noble, are apt to collapse and crumble. For others who strut and dance, they enjoy the deceit cast upon the masses.

I am convinced that one of the leading examples of that in this present moment is B. Hussein Obama. He is the celebrity magnet who promises heaven come to Earth, everything under God's sky but truth.

This mask Muslim is bound to destroy our Republic if he moves onto Pennsylvania Avenue. He has a cohort in Michelle who will assist him most ably.

There are others who are in like manipulative mindset; but B. Hussein must outstrip them all during this presidential tussle. He is as complicated on the side of undercutting as any personage America has come upon. His ties to evil are legion. They will all leap to the fore once he walks into the Oval Office.

All civil citizens will wish to no end that the Obama regime never entrenched itself in the White House if such misfortunate comes about. Yet by January it will be too late. We will have been crippled with such dread unimagined.

All the more biblical believers must remind themselves not to put their faith in Congress, the President, the justice department or any other human staple. They are all bent on self-stroking..

Faith in the God of the Bible is the only hope for any genuine Christian. That God never forsakes His grace children, even when they are tortured, martyred. His promises throughout Scripture are as sure as His eternal love and mercy.

As Christians become active in political activities, all well and good. But even in such civic duties, they must keep foremost the fact that it is Alpha and Omega who must hold their utmost loyalty. In that, they are never disappointed.
