Why we like Sarah Palin
By Grant Swank

She's genuine.

That in itself is quite a novelty not to be discovered that readily in DC.

She's intelligent, articulate, persevering and accomplished. That totally enrages the liberals.

She's a committed mother and loving wife — though feminists despise both.

She's a public servant who does what she says — puts the people first, puts ethics above politics and puts the crooks to shame.. Liberals know they are nowhere near her league.

She's a talented woman — superb debater, substantive speaker, gifted administrator. Compare that with the inept Congress.

She's already set an admirable track record in public life, working from honest motives rather than the usual double-speak manipulation that has crazed DC for decades. Honesty in DC just doesn't work in the main. No wonder she scares them stiff.

She's impressive, humorous, feminine, and individualistic — all at the same time. The reason? Again, she's genuine. No fake mold.

Thank God she's not Nancy Pelosiesque or Hillary Clintonesque. Thank God's she's on the other end of the spectrum from Gloria Steinam and Whoopi Goldberg.

She's in real-life real-time with the rest of America's hard-working citizens. In other words, she is one of us in comparison to the DC cliques that have craftily removed themselves into safe havens of one sort or another.

She's an enigma to the liberals, particularly the press. They simply don't know what to do with her.

In the Vice Presidential debate, she drew a viewership higher than any other since 1992. Viewers did not watch because of Joe. They sat riveted because of Sarah.

But what then could the liberal press do but praise her a smidgen in order to appear civil while saving their sharper knife blades for further down their columns. Some even started out with their journalistic sword swinging. That's how upset Sarah can make the liberal pen.

Conservative, truly patriotic journalists were fair in calling Sarah Palin the debate winner for in fact she was.

How interesting that Drudge Report poll tallied on Friday at 4:25 PM the following:

Joe Biden with 28%, voters totaling 147,012

Sarah Palin with 70%, voters totaling 362,270.

Total votes were 518,963.

Liberal TIME's website poll tallied only 18,398 total with, of course, Biden out in front.

Compare 516,797 with 18,398. Drudge and Sarah hit home runs big time.

In other words, Sarah Palin is ready to take on DC in January.
