ANDREW C. MCCARTHY — I wonder when the Trump backers will realize they've been had. The 2016 GOP campaign has been overwhelmed by Donald Trump's celebrity persona, by the can't-take-your-eyes-off-it appearances where he might say or do anything -- and "anything" includes expletives, incitements, and assorted idiocies that would have been disqualifying in the bygone times of, oh, five or ten minutes ago.... CLIFF KINCAID — Donald J. Trump's foreign policy address was delivered with the aid of a teleprompter and was written by his pro-Russian advisers. He took no questions. It was a replay of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's disastrous Russian "reset" that led to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Yet, Trump pretends to be an opponent of Mrs. Clinton's foreign policy.... (more)

THE EDITORS OF NATIONAL REVIEW — We get it. John Boehner doesn't like Ted Cruz. In a witless cheap shot, Boehner called him "Lucifer in the flesh" at an event at Stanford University.
