NATIONAL REVIEW — The majority of the 42 migrants arrested Sunday as they attempted to cross the border illegally were adult men, according to San Diego U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials. "We ended up making about 42 arrests. Only eight of those were females, and there were only a few children involved. The vast majority of those were adult males," sector chief patrol agent Rodney Scott told CNN Monday.... (more)

NATIONAL REVIEW — U.S. Border Patrol agents have arrested a member of the infamous Salvadoran MS-13 gang who admitted to authorities that he traveled with a caravan of Central American migrants who were hoping to qualify for asylum in America. Agents arrested Jose Villalobos-Jobel, 29, shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday east of the Calexico Port of Entry on the U.S. side of the border, Customs and Border Protection said in a statement Wednesday.... WASHINGTON TIMES — The Border Patrol reported the first major instance of migrant caravan-related violence Saturday, saying a Honduran man threw rocks at agents to try to keep from being arrested Friday in Arizona. The 31-year-old, whom authorities didn't name, had climbed a tree to try to avoid capture, then lit the tree afire and began to throw rocks at the agents as well as a helicopter called in to help track him....
