NBC - SAN DIEGO — If a new Mississippi law survives a court challenge, it will be nearly impossible for most pregnant women to get an abortion there. Or, potentially, in neighboring Louisiana. Or Alabama. Or Georgia. The Louisiana legislature is halfway toward passing a law -- like the ones enacted in Mississippi and Georgia -- that will ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, about six weeks into a pregnancy and before many women know they're pregnant. Alabama is on the cusp of approving an even more restrictive bill.... (more)

MATTHEW CONTINETTI — And you thought that Democrats won the House out of fear Republicans would drop coverage of preexisting conditions. That they wanted to spend this Congress addressing the cost of prescription drugs, building roads and bridges, resolving the legal status of DACA recipients, expanding gun background checks. Don't be silly! Rashida Tlaib let spill the real Democratic agenda back in January, when she said they were going to "impeach the motherf***er."... (more)

ANDREW MCCARTHY — Russiagate has always been a political narrative masquerading as a federal investigation. Its objective, plain and simple, has been twofold: first, to hamstring Donald Trump's capacity to press the agenda on which he ran (immigration enforcement, conservative judicial nominees, deregulation, and a military build-up, along with skepticism about military interventions, free trade, and NATO); and ultimately, to render him unelectable come autumn 2020.... WORLDNETDAILY — Since 9/11, when Islamic terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people, Muslim advocacy groups in the United States have had considerable success promoting the notion that Islam is a religion of peace. Al-Qaida, ISIS and other such violent groups have nothing to do with Islam, goes the narrative. But Hamed Abdel-Samad, an Egyptian-born political scientist and author who emigrated to Germany, insists otherwise, arguing one need only examine the sacred texts and the founder of Islam.... 3 ABC WEAR TV — At first glance, it looks like an abandoned dump. But this plot of land in Macon County, Alabama is described in an FBI search warrant as a "makeshift military-style obstacle course" belonging to a small group of terrorists led by Siraj Wahhaj who owned the property up a long dirt road but just a few miles from downtown Tuskegee.... WES VERNON — The left seems to get closer and closer to using its ultimate hammer to tame conservatives into obeisance to its commands. Years ago, according to a writer at the time, a group of "intellects" with Ph.D.s -- as reported by another writer at this website -- were casually discussing the possible ultimate need to consign resisters to hard left rule to "re-education camps." Obviously, even the most anti-freedom leftist would know that such an incursion into a nation whose people still relish their freedoms would put up a fierce resistance.... (more)
