In a statement, Carson called Moore a "fine man of proven character and integrity," and someone who "reflects the Judeo-Christian values" needed to "make America great again" -- Trump's 2016 campaign motto. He also said he was "delighted" that Moore was running.... (more)

WASHINGTON EXAMINER — It is not possible for Congress to pass a comprehensive bipartisan solution to healthcare reform. That much is incontrovertible. But in a statement announcing his opposition to the Graham-Cassidy legislation -- one that signaled it was as good as dead -- Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., argued bipartisanship was a necessary component to such efforts, so as not to "leave the American people guessing from one election to the next whether and how they will acquire health insurance."... WESLEY PRUDEN — We've heard the words and music of this song before. WASHINGTON TIMES — Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson says media outlets are "diving deeply into minutiae" to avoid a stark development: President Trump's previously ridiculed "wiretapping" claims appear to be true. Ms. Attkisson has warned of the weaponization of intelligence agencies since her laptop for CBS News stories was hacked on multiple occasions in 2013. An op-ed she wrote for The Hill on Wednesday presented an extensive case that U.S. intelligence agencies under former President Barack Obama were manipulated for political purposes -- and that pundits are willfully ignoring it.... WASHINGTON TIMES — Sparring with celebrities and Al Gore over global warming may not be what Roy Spencer had in mind when he earned his Ph.D., but it's certainly become a bustling sideline for the University of Alabama in Huntsville climatologist. CAL THOMAS — While campaigning for the presidency, Donald Trump more than once referred to the United Nations as a "useless" organization and "not a friend of democracy." In his speech Tuesday to the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, he apparently has discovered the often dysfunctional body can be useful, if it adopts the reforms he is proposing and accepts an agenda that includes uniting to stop North Korea from obtaining nuclear weapons and missiles to strike at U.S and other targets....
