Papa President: Keep us from what is silly or unsafe

In a nation where people are spending more time on celebrity gossip, reality shows and American Idol than on serious matters that affect their lives; we now have a President who presumes to tell us what is silly. He is a bit late for that, but to be fair let's see what's on his list of silly or unsafe things.

At the top of Mr. Obama's silly list of course is the heretofore missing long form birth certificate. With smiles and snickers he announced that the whole question was a distraction and now after two or three years of questions it can finally be laid to rest. Not by a long shot according to a long and impressive list of photo shop experts not the least of which is eComp Consultants of Tampa Bay Florida.

The firm known as eComp has been engaged by an impressive list of clients including Citicorp, Houghton Mifflin, Amazon.com and McGraw Hill. Mr. Ivan Zatkovich of eComp who examined the document has twenty eight years experience and has been involved as an expert witness in many court cases involving the authenticity of electronic documents. His conclusions are bewildering. Mr. Zatkovich says in no uncertain terms that the document has been seriously altered.

Other photo shop experts have not been so kind and are crying foul. At the very least they are saying that the changes are amateurish and ridiculous. The general consensus is that when the White House released the document that someone made the mistake of letting it go out as a PDF document. Word and other formats do not lend themselves to photo shop analysis but PDF documents are easy to separate into layers. This is where the stuff hit the fan.

The release of the birth certificate is perceived by many to be timed to offset the growing concern of over one third of Americans who doubted Mr. Obama was born in the USA. According to the USA Today/Gallup poll thirty eight percent doubted that Hawaii was his place of birth and another twenty percent said they were not sure.

While Donald Trump is credited with raising the question to a fevered pitch, the release of the document also seems timed to offset the influence of Jerome Corsi's new book scheduled for release in May 2011. World Net Daily's Jerome Corsi has already popped two best sellers in the U.S; but his latest offering titled "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case that Barack Obama is Not Eligible to Be President," is the result of two years of investigative research.

Neither sophistry nor sarcasm is needed to compile the list of matters that our President thinks are also silly. We need only refer to his record in office since 2008 to see that much of what America holds dear has ended up on his silly list. This is simply a list of facts, the kind of facts that Mr. Obama has warned us to regard rather than just making stuff up. In his own words, "We're not gonna be able to do it if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts. We're not gonna be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers." April 27, 2011

Mr. Obama does not think it is silly to discuss federal policy issues with transgenders in the White House in a first ever meeting in early May in the prestigious Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The discussion will be about discrimination against them and problems the LGBT has with federal policy.

Right out of the gate after his inauguration ceremonies the President said he would keep the campaign promise he made in 2007. He promised Planned Parenthood that signing the FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act) would be, "the first thing I'd do as president."

He has flipped on that issue only because he now knows it would meet with sudden death if it were presented in the present Republican led Congress. He does not think that it is silly to add about 1.3 million abortions a year to our record of 53 million abortions since the start of Roe V. Wade.

He does not think it is silly to bail out everyone from GM to Suzies lemonade stand or to throw a healthcare proposal on a nation that has no chance to work in our present high speed approach to economic disaster. If it could somehow improve the health of every American it would yet cause massive heart attacks across the nation when we got the bill. Sound silly? Not to Mr. Obama! This is the short list of things that our President thinks are not silly.

Birthers, Trump and Corsi are said to have produced the one issue Mr. Obama can assuredly say is "silly" If this were a contest to see who got an award for silly, is there any question at all that Mr. Obama would come in as the winner?

The President has now gone beyond decrying the foolishness that a citizen should avoid and now is exercising his paternal qualities by keeping us from what is unsafe. To keep America and the whole world from erupting into a state of unrest we will not be allowed to see pictures of the slain body of our nation's number one tormentor for the last ten years. Years of seeing the remains of mangled unborn children in abortion clinics has not been sufficient for the executive office to raise so much as a complaint; but one picture of our number one enemy may cause a world war?

Attorney General Eric Holder under scrutiny of a Judicial Committee could not show evidence that even one case has been brought against child porn producers on the internet since the President took office. We already know we won't see thugs with clubs at voting stations prosecuted. Add to this list the assurance that we will be kept safe from those silly Americans who think that marriage between a man and a woman should be defended and now the protective covering of our Commander in Chief is complete, however feigned it may be.

Oh the glowing sense of safety we feel when Papa is in the house!

Have we been rebuked by the subjective natural reflections of our President or has he drawn upon some greater source or precedent to keep us from harm? Here is where it becomes nearly impossible not to quote from the Wisdom of Solomon, to wit:

"It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools." (Ec 7: 5) Now all that is left for us to do is; discern whether we, as children, have been rebuked for our own good, or are we all being subjected to the strains of a really bad song.
