What does the future hold for the United States of America? Will we continue to be the land of the free, and home of the brave? Will we become a second or third world nation? Or will one of our "frenemies" conquer us? You say it can't happen because we are so great and mighty? That's probably what Rome, and every other great empire believed. But the truth is that America is being literally ripped apart by powerful forces. If we don't identify these forces, and then fight to overcome them, America will cease to exist.

For the past several columns we have been discussing the communist strategic plans to overthrow America. KGB defector, Yuri Bezmenov, came to the West in 1970 and attempted to warn us about the Soviet plans. He lectured on the tools of propaganda, mind control, and cultural and ideological subversion in controlling and overthrowing societies. He called the overall plan "non-traditional Marxist psychological warfare." It happens in four stages:

1.) Demoralization

2.) Destabilization

3.) Crisis

4.) Normalization

We have already discussed the first three stages, and now will focus on what happens when stage three, crisis, takes us into normalization. You can go back to the previous articles and read details about how we got to this stage. Our systems are collapsing. All the pillars of society have been weakened. Society in general can no longer deal rationally with its problems. And in the transition from destabilization to crisis, Bezmenov said that different groups will be vying for power, and that if they can't gain power through normal avenues, they will take it by force. Sound familiar? Obama has clearly stated that if Congress doesn't do what he wants, he will simply do it himself, by Executive Order, Presidential Directives, or whatever tools he concocts. He acts like he is a king, not an elected official in a Representative Republic. Remember, by force...

Just as Bezmenov said, we begin looking for a savior to deliver us out of our mess. We are facing crisis, and miraculously, Barack Obama, as if from nowhere, arrives on the scene and is swept into the presidency. In his arrogance, he willingly allowed himself to be portrayed as a savior. This totally unequipped, untested, and unqualified man claimed to have all the answers to our woes.

Bezmenov taught that at this point, three things will begin to happen. First, our economy, and our money, will be destabilized. And what do we see happening before our very eyes? We are on the verge of financial collapse. In just a couple of weeks there will be yet another congressional battle over the raising of the debt ceiling so we can borrow even more money to fund our undisciplined, out-of-control government. Furthermore, worldwide, countries are losing faith in the dollar, and are pushing for use of a different currency for trade.

Second, there will be an attempt to eliminate the free market system, and the principle of competition. Government control or seizure of business will become more commonplace. Yes, we have already seen this principle at work within the auto and banking industries. And if Obama had his way, we would be bailing out Detroit. Communism means that the government controls everything.

And finally, there will be a "Big Brother" government in D.C. filled with what Bezmenov called "benevolent dictators" who "promise the people all kinds of goodies." Big Brother has been watching and seizing more control over every aspect of our lives. And Benevolent Dictator Obama and his minions have dramatically increased the number of citizens beholden to him by his generous handouts.

We are now ready for stage four – normalization. The name for this stage refers to when Soviet tanks rolled into Czechoslovakia and the situation was declared "normal;" and just as they were invaded, we, too, are ripe for either invasion or civil war. Pundits have joked about how Obama might declare himself king or dictator for life. We shouldn't be so quick to dismiss such a scenario. Some of the Executive Orders he has signed give him a tremendous amount of power. Just this month, MSNBC reported that Obama declared we are still in a state of emergency. "The terrorist threat that led to the declaration on September 14, 2001, of a national emergency continues," wrote President Obama. "For this reason, I have determined that it is necessary to continue in effect after September 14, 2013, the national emergency with respect to the terrorist threat." Further, MSNBC reported that "shortly after he renewed the declaration of a national emergency, President Obama obliquely hinted at the gradual accumulation of executive power in his speech on the Syria crisis." The past decade, he said, "put more and more war-making power in the hands of the president."

Whether we are in civil war, or are taken over or "liberated" by an outside force, we will be totally defenseless. Police and security will be destroyed, and guns taken from private citizens. If there has been a coup, or invasion, the "police force" used by our "liberators" will be free to do whatever they consider good for the cause. Remember, this stage involves a forceful takeover. According to Bezmenov, stabilization will now occur. The "self-appointed leaders of society now don't need any more revolution – no homosexuals, activists, strikers, social workers, community activists and organizers, professors, Marxists, Leninists, liberals, women's libbers – they will be eliminated because they are not needed." Guess that is some good news for conservatives! Sadly, it won't matter because we are no longer free, according to our standards. It will be "solid totalitarian freedom," according to Bezmenov.

Now that we have the bad news, what is the good news? Bezmenov said that to reverse the process is very difficult. At the normalization stage, only military force can save us. (But that means we still have some military personnel who are willing to fight against the person or forces attempting to seize control.) At the crisis stage, he says that CIA covert action could prevent outside forces from overtaking us. At this point he said it is important to not allow the crisis to escalate into war. At the destabilization stage, it will take the "restriction of some liberties of self-proclaimed anti-democratic, militant, radical, and amoral groups, like criminals, subversives, and homosexuals." (His words, not mine.) Bezmenov was adamant in saying, "Do not allow them to have power." Founding Father Patrick Henry said, "Bad men cannot make good citizens. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, are incompatible with freedom." He said we must practice self-restraint in all areas of society. And in future elections, we must choose people with strong moral character, not those who are charismatic. If bad men cannot be good citizens, they cannot be good leaders either.

In the first part of this series, we discussed how one major goal of subversion was to draw us away from faith in a "supreme being." The simple answer to psychological subversion, according to Bezmenov, is to "simply have faith."

According to the late Bezmenov, America's situation is "disgustingly out of control," that we are "in an undeclared war, "and literally have "only several years to live if we don't wake up." Accordingly, he stated we must:
1.) Initiate a strong national effort to educate in the spirit of real patriotism.

2.) Educate people in the real danger of socialism/communism, welfare, and Big Brother government.

3.) Educate ourselves. Know what is going on around us.
"If people fail to grasp the serious and impending danger, we are doomed." Thomas Jefferson said, "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."

Everything in this series has been frightening. Some readers may think it impossible that we could actually fight another Civil War, or be invaded by enemy forces. Others may dismiss the idea of socialist/Marxist subversion, even though these people are leaders in all areas of government, including the presidency, business, and education. Further, everything that Yuri Bezmenov spoke about has come to fruition. As he said, it is because of our lack of moral standards that "enemy forces" were able to compromise us so many years ago. Since then, the damage has been done "by Americans to Americans."

I previously said that ultimately, the destruction of America is due to our abandonment of God. The Bible says, "They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself. (Rom. 1:25 NLT) But with all of our wealth and knowledge, America is in a huge mess, and grave danger of being totally destroyed. We need help, and the government can't fix things. Government is a huge part of the problem. Man can't fix this monumental mess we are in – man caused the problems. Our only hope is in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. But, because we have become so smart, we allowed government and anti-God voices to push Him from our hearts, minds, and now the public arena. We have begun to believe we are smarter than God. Patrick Henry proclaimed, "It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. The Bible says, "What sorrow for those who are wise in their own eyes and think themselves so clever." (Is: 5:21 NLT)

We have also allowed the government and other "enemy voices" to tell us the words of our Founding Fathers don't apply to us today. Well, the words of the Bible were written thousands of years ago, and yet, still apply to us today. Founding Father Benjamin Franklin said, "Man will ultimately be governed by God or by tyrants." Since we now live in what Mark Levin calls a soft tyranny, isn't it time to turn back to God.

Are we going to press our luck and continue on the current path, or are we going to turn back to God, and seek His forgiveness and deliverance from the future destruction we face? The choice is ours, America. To anyone willing to hear....
