Warning: Don't fall for the religious protection ruse in same sex marriage laws

Marriage supporters run ads showing business owners sued and employees fired for supporting natural marriage. So advocates of redefining marriage in Maine, Massachusetts and Washington are downplaying the anti-religious component inherent in same sex marriage.

Businessweek reports:
To temper opposition, all three states' laws protect religious groups from being forced to recognize marriages deemed contrary to their beliefs or to lease their premises for gay weddings.
Note that these so called protections are expanded to "religious groups." When was the last time you went to the Community Bible Hair Salon to get your updo for a wedding? Did you order your wedding cake from St. Rita Catholic Church's Bakery? Would you hire your local Muslim mosque to cater and host your gay wedding reception?

Protecting religious groups does not protect religious individuals. Same sex couples can sue individual Catholic business owners, rather than the church. Companies fire individual employees for defending natural marriage, not the Jewish Temple. What about the constitutional rights of every individual American?

Same sex marriage contradicts the religious rights of Christians, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, and atheists who believe marriage is between one man and one woman.

Same sex marriage advocates believe children of gay parents should be deprived of either a mother or a father. That's not equality. That's discrimination.

Defend pro-gender marriage. Because gender matters to everyone, including those with same sex attraction.
