Curing the culture of death -- NOT Down syndrome!

Recently I read an article entitled "Scientists find way to silence extra chromosome that causes Down syndrome" http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/07/17/scientists-find-way-to-silence-extra-chromosome-that-causes-down-syndrome/ According to the article researchers say they have found a way to "turn off the extra copy of chromosome 21" which causes Down syndrome. According to national statistics "approximately 6,000 babies with Down syndrome are born each year in the United States," and when my beautiful daughter Chloe was born in 2003 with a diagnosis of Down syndrome I often wondered what I did right in my life to deserve such a perfect child!

When Chloe was born I was a city police officer in my 20th year of service, and I had lost all hope in the goodness of mankind. Chloe has shown me and countless others the absolute undefiled meaning of unconditional love, innocence, and purity. The only thing that needs to be "silenced" is the silent prenatal eugenic movement which has terminated 90%+ of these priceless children, and our misguided culture of death and depravity needs to focus on ways to "turn off" the genetic chromosomes that cause murder, mayhem, perversion, evil and destruction. My daughter and her chromosome 21 peers have never caused any intentional malice or evil in this world, and I frequently ask "What would society look like if we had more of these messengers of peace and love?"

Chloe recently went to the US Capitol in Washington DC and planted many positive seeds with Congressional members and their staff. Chloe met with pro-life Champions Congressmen Christopher Smith and Trent Franks, and she prayed with each of them to strengthen their resolve to protect and defend our most precious national resource – Human Life! In 10 short years this child has impacted our culture for good more than the vast majority of people do in a 70-80 year lifetime, and on judgment day all people will wish they had the eternal "cure" of chromosome 21.

The "Treatment" needed desperately today in this lost culture of misguided perfection is a recognition and embracing of LIFE. We will continue to rapidly slide into complete darkness until this nation and world embraces ALL Life, and the individuals who are most in need of a "cure" are visible in the mirror each and every day. God has made it very clear that Life is a sacred gift, and until we recognize this FACT we will never prosper as a nation or world community.

Psalm 139:13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
