From a recent news release (edited):
'40' is a still-in-development documentary film that tackles the abortion issue from a pro-life perspective. It will feature inspiring stories and deeply personal interviews with champions of the pro-life movement. And it will take on the arguments of those who believe in 'a woman's right to choose.'

Production began in Washington, D.C., during the 2012 March for Life weekend of activities. '40' will address and answer the following questions (among others): Doesn't a woman have the right to choose what she does with her body? Is there a dispute about when human life begins, or does human life begin at conception? Is the fetus just a glob of tissue, or a person with inalienable rights? Can morality be legislated, and if abortion is outlawed, will it still go on in back alleys? Was the Roe v. Wade decision good for women?

Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director and senior policy advisor for Americans United For Life; investigative journalist Lila Rose, president of Live Action; David Bereit, national director of 40 Days for Life; Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life; and pro-life legend Joe Scheidler, founder of the Pro-Life Action League, are some of the notable pro-life champions interviewed for the '40.'

Also interviewed: Bryan Kemper, founder and president of Stand True Ministries; Jason Jones, co-executive producer of Bella and president of HERO; actress Jennifer Cadena; Rebecca Kiessling, pro-life speaker and attorney; Keith Mason, co-founder of Personhood USA; Vickie Thorn, executive director of Project Rachel; Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue; Ann Scheidler, vice president of the Pro-Life Action League; Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League; John Jakubczyk, attorney with Arizona Right to Life; Mary Strom, executive director of The Women's Center; Cardinal Donald Wuerl, archbishop of Washington D.C.; Father Frank Hoffman, executive director of Relevant Radio; Patrick Korten, senior vice president of communications for the Knights of Columbus; Thomas Brejcha, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Society; and Peter Breen, executive director and legal counsel of the Thomas More Society.

In addition, '40' will include powerful post-abortive testimony from Yvonne Florzack-Seeman, president and founder of Love From Above, as well as testimonies of women from the Silent No More Awareness Campaign.

'40' will equip anyone who watches it with strong, memorable, irrefutable pro-life responses, examples, metaphors, slogans and sound bites. Young people will be able to use it to reach their pro-abortion and undecided peers. Young people care deeply about social justice, and this film will prove to them that social justice starts in the womb.

John E. Morales is the executive producer and director of '40' and the co-founder of Pro-Life Champions. John brings an extensive 20-year background in radio and television to the project. Morales was the co-producer, writer, and narrator of the award-winning Champions of Faith: Baseball Edition, a groundbreaking sports film that showcases the intersection of sports and faith in Major League Baseball.

The production team of photojournalist Rob Kaczmark, Danny Hidalgo and Spirit Juice Studios brings years of filmmaking experience to the project. Spirit Juice Studios is a multi-disciplinary design studio comprised of professionals working mainly in the fields of film and video production, interactive design, print design, branding, advertising and event production.
