"Government IS the problem." – Ronald Reagan

THE DEATH OF COMMON SENSE may have been exaggerated, but don't you just hate it when people miss the point? Even before Tuesday, the government-controlled media were trying to "explain" and spin the meaning of the election results:

- "Sure, some people are going to vote for the reactionaries for the first time in their lives, but they really don't want to."

- "Some people vote for the traditionalists because they hate women and young people."

- "Some people vote for conservatives because they're just ignorant and religious."

- "It's all about anti-incumbency this year."

Blah, blah, blah; yada, yada. Bottom line? They still play the game and they still count the ballots – with or without photo-voter IDs. So "now what?" (as they say).

A minister once said, "Don't attack anyone. Conservatives don't have the answer either." And he missed the point:

"Only God can save us now," and most conservatives agree and say so!

I mean, watch out for the upcoming LDS – the Lame Duck Senate (it could be our DDC – the Daffy Duck Congress). It could be Freedom's Waterloo. Our Berlin Wall moment (the total collapse of our southern border). BTW, tell me again – why do people want to come to this inequitable country? But I ramble. Or is it multi-tasking?

Anyway, I suppose this is as good as any time to tell you that some people think I'm a loon. I'm #603 on their "list." Could be worse. And we Yoopers love loons. Besides, even loons required Intelligent Design. [You know how you can tell if a design is intelligent? Easy: Andy Warhol = UN intelligent design. Everything else is good.] Some lessons from the election:

- God and guns trump granola and Ebola.

- T-party trumps the D-party.

- A Mt. Zion high beats two Rocky Mountain highs.

- "DEER NATION" slightly beats "Dear White People."

I haven't seen that movie yet, but I plan on it. I like the premise:

It's about people who are against each other based on the impression they cling to about the "OTHERS." Like, you mean, like the accusation that conservative traditionalists hate women and young people? You mean like the claim that only the top one percent support traditionalists (I wonder where the rest of the votes come from, eh?).

You mean like "conservatives want y'all back in chains" (Joe the-White-House-plumber Biden)?

You mean like "conservatives wanna bring slavery back" (Charlie Rangel)? That's called projection; slavery and Jim Crow laws – those were the D-party, not the T-party.

Someone said that politics makes strange bedfellows (and we will find out soon). Someone said that the bedfellows seem strange because you just haven't been watching the courtship (let's pray that we don't see TOO MUCH 'reaching across the aisle' in the next two months).

SO WHAT'S YOUR POINT? Point is, only God can save America now, but there is still a God! What's so hard to understand?

P.S. Me thinketh that the Global Warming fanatics protesteth too mucheth. Today in the Northwoods the ground is covered with snow. Shucks – even South Carolina got a record early season snowfall! TIME magazine had a scoop about this Ice Age back in 1979 (LOL). Antarctic sea ice is at a 35-year high as of this week, and here's an excerpt from a NewsMax article I received last June:

"The sea ice coverage around Antarctica over the weekend marked a record high, with the ice surrounding the continent measuring at 2.07 million square kilometers, according to an environmentalist and author who says the ice there has actually been increasing since 1979 despite continued warnings of global warming.

The new record was posted for the first time by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's online record, . . .

"While early models predicted the sea ice would decrease because of global warming, other models are showing that the opposite is happening around Antarctica, where sea ice growth is increasing.

"A freshening of the waters surrounding the southernmost continent as well as the strengthening of the winds circling it were both theorized as explanations for the steady growth of Antarctica's sea ice during the period of satellite measurement, . . ."

PPS: Note: fresh water – from melted snow – freezes much faster than salt water. What's going on at the south polar region is one example of the Gaia Effect that Public TV used to highlight back in the 1970s.

The current "Pause" in global warming over two decades in no "surprise" to those of us who used to watch those Gaia shows (about the earth's many self-regulating mechanisms).

FYI, God is in control of both the climate and the "kings of the earth" – including the LIMITS to which they can go!
