Can't legislate morality -- but perversion and wickedness are perfectly OK?

Articles have no attractive colors and themes like book covers, so there is only one chance to grab the attention. It usually means that the stinger comes first and the explanation is what follows. In this article, the title may be all that's needed.

Splash, shock and intense verbally directed themes thrive, even in a world where political correctness feigns itself to be the edge.

The adage that says, we can't legislate morality was first attributed to a Scotsman educator and sociologist R. M. MacIver (1882–1970).

In the 60s it was again used by both Sen. Barry Goldwater and civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

My former pastor, Dr. Richard Land often said that while we cannot, legislate morality we certainly have to pass a lot of legislation – to curb the effect of immorality.

This is a new day.

It is immorality that is now being legislated on many levels.

Healthcare is expensive but death is now free!

Abortion is on the decline in the nation which is why it is so hard to understand the passage of house bill 3391 in the state of Oregon (33-23). Democrats control the house and that is what made Republican state representative Jodi Hack declare that the vote was, "the saddest day I have experienced in the Oregon Legislature."

Roe v. Wade has always been just a license to kill, but as if that were not enough, the dem's or demons (whichever you prefer) thought it expedient to make it free as well.

Now that Planned Parenthood stands accused of harvesting and selling body parts from aborted un-born children, should we expect that the state of Oregon might try to defray the cost of abortions by doing the same?

It is a clear picture of insanity

Speaking of insanity, perhaps the old adage about how a picture is better than a thousand words might work better at this juncture.

Appearing in the social media of late is a top and bottom picture of Jeffrey Dahmer and Hillary Clinton.

On the pic of Dahmer is the caption – "If you kill a human and store body parts in your fridge, you're insane...

On the pic of Hillary Clinton the caption says – "If Planned Parenthood does it, they're empowering women."

This picture requires no commentary, but for the record; after 50 years of studying the scriptures I can assuredly say that this kind of wholesale murder and inhumanity will have no insanity plea before a righteous and holy God.

The New 'Sexual Identity' Circus of Absurdities

Hypocrisy is an absurdity looking for someone to believe it, here are just two prime examples starting with civil rights activist Rachel Dolezal who represented herself as a black woman.

For years she held an academic chair in the NAACP in Spokane, Washington. She spoke out on issues of race and many accepted that she was well qualified as a black person to represent her race.

When it was discovered that she was actually of German and Czech dissent, the cat was out of the bag.

We don't let people walk when they intentionally identify themselves as belonging to a race or nationality that they have literally no connection to at all. But if a boy suddenly decides he is a girl – we are OK with that?

The next example comes to us from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who is well known for the claim that she was a Native American. Some say it was to get minority advantage or to teach at Harvard. Others dispute her intentions, but no one disputes the lie that she is Native American.

She is now a senator from Massachusetts, but untold numbers of people will never again put trust in this woman. Can we blame them?

Once again, can we declare that we are something we are not without repercussions? The answer is simply no. We will crash a career, lose trust, and in some cases may be prosecuted. But for some unknown reason we think we can defy God, nature and every semblance of common sense to declare that we are not the sex listed on our birth certificate.

Modernity's psychological hoopla pays tribute to the demon fired democratically driven nonsense that says a man or women is what they think they are. All that is left is to make it the law.

Too late – California already has.

Senator Scott Wiener (D) introduced California SB 219 which essentially provides "Prison for Pronouns." Now it may be possible to get fined and or imprisoned for not recognizing the fantasy of anyone who thinks they are not what they actually are.

Some Not so Happy Hypotheticals

Some important questions are raised by HB219 that have yet to be tested, including the religious test and that alone may be enough to see the law brought up to the Supreme Court.

Same scenarios are as follows.

Where will "pronoun criminals" be housed? Can we throw them in with rapist, burglars and murderers? If they are paroled will we need to put bracelets on their ankles and audio monitors on their mouths to monitor their speech?

What if a transgender calls his Rottweiler a cat? If we call to him with – here doggie – are we headed to court?

What about, doctors, labs, medical personnel, scientists and the coroner? When they write the DNA results they find on the dotted line in spite of the fact that it does not match the persons declared sexual identity, will it be a crime to tell the truth because it is not what a patient thinks of his own sexuality? DNA won't lie for anyone. Let's see you fix that California.

Just how far can we go with sexual identity confusion?

In the case of the bi-sexual person, should we call them he or she depending on how they feel on any specific day? Can we depend on a heightened sense of hyper subjectivity for each day or should we just take a guess?

Risky business wouldn't you say?

Every time the words homophobe or hate is used by the tolerant crowd, the bible believers are supposed to tuck in their tails and run for cover. But it is neither hatred nor fear that causes us to stand on God's word.

It is fearlessness and love of the true Christian, because God has given us an immutable word, guidance and a firm warning that in the end, all sexual perversion will be judged. If we love those around us, we are duty bound to warn them.

The Greatest Absurdity of All

Without doubt, the greatest absurdity of the modern sexual revolution has come into vogue in this day.

That absurdity is the idea of starting a new "race" based on what we think we are, or who we are lusting for.

Yes, the bible speaks to that subject in no uncertain terms.

"For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage." (2Peter 2: 18-19)

Exposing this absurdity is the highest act of love for the souls of men who will all one day answer to God. It is a rescue mission based on true caring for the future of all those created in the image of God.
Rescue the perishing; care for the dying
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave
Weep o'er the erring one; lift up the fallen
Tell them of Jesus, the mighty to save

    – Fanny J. Crosby
"And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." (Jude 1: 22-23)

No hatred of people here, only badly stained garments!
