5 tactics for local activism

I am sensing a growing fear among main stream Americans as the violence and the tyranny grows across the nation. And I certainly understand why.

There is a feeling of helplessness. You’re just one person. How do you stand up?

I could spend a lot of time talking about the massive forces of NGO’s and corrupt politicians, armed with massive funds that we are facing. But we’ve done that many times in the past. What most want to know now is what can we do to fight back?

So let’s skip right to some direct points of action that you and a few friends can do right now.

First, focus on the local level. This is where you have the best possible chance to effect policy. It’s the only place where you can get right into the face of your elected representatives and apply direct pressure.

Second, stop being polite. Go on the attack and be relentless about it. Saving America is not a 9–5 job. Go back to city council again and again. When you start making them nervous with your presence then you will begin to have an impact.

Third, bring some emotion into your argument. One major mistake our side makes is to be too intellectual in our approach. We are usually educated in economics, philosophy, and history. It comes natural to us to start pointing out the fallacy of the Left’s arguments. But while you are taking a long time detailing why their policies simply work, they respond by crying “Someone’s got to DO something!” and the crowd cheers.

As Dr. Thomas Sowell said, “It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.”

Instead, try using some emotion yourself. How about the victims of those polices? For example, when they plan to use eminent domain to take property and send in the bulldozers to inner city minority neighborhoods, they are most likely destroying homes and small businesses. What happens to those people who have now lost everything? You can recruit those folks to your cause.

Fourth, make it personal. Openly attack and make those councilmen, and their planners, own their own schemes of destruction. This is how you lay the groundwork for campaigns to throw them out of office. And THAT must be your main goal for all of your efforts if you intend to change things in your community.

Fifth, Change the debate! Establish a grading system for how your local government is protecting freedom. Review new laws and regulations and rate them on how they protect or diminish freedom. Using a scale of one to ten, review and report on the actions of your city council or county commission. Be sure to name the sponsors of such legislation, and list how each member of the council voted.

Make them own their actions. If it’s bad law, make sure everyone in town knows who is responsible. One suggestion would be to produce a copy of the legislation and place a picture of the sponsor/sponsors at the top. It’s their bill! And include a detailed review, emphasizing why it is a danger to freedom..

Do this on a regular basis and you will get their attention. With strong impact, they may just start coming to you with their legislative ideas first, before introducing them, to make sure they aren’t going to suffer public embarrassment from your efforts. That’s what victory looks like!

These are some very simple tactics that you can begin to employ right there in your own community to begin to restore liberty.

If you are successful in your community in defending private property rights, restoring free enterprise to allow local businesses to open and prosper, and removing regulations that have restricted freedom of choice for your citizens to follow their own life’s dreams and goals, then you have succeeded in establishing your community as a FREEDOM POD.

That seed will then spread to the next community – and the next. And then begin to move to the state level, and eventually to the federal level as the Republic is restored!

Please, share these very simple ideas and begin to pull together with your friends and neighbors. Don’t be intimidated. They are terrified that you will learn these basic organizing tactics because they know then their game is up!

I am now ready to take these tactics across the nation to teach local activists how to stand up against the globalist monopoly game that is determined to destroy our liberty.

Stephen, I urgently need you to stand with me and the American Policy Center. Keep APC strong and on the front lines with your dollars and we will win this fight. Together you and I can plant FREEDOM PODS and watch them grow!

HELP APC FIGHT BACK
