WASHINGTON TIMES — A California judge refused this week to order a baker to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, ruling that to do otherwise would be to trample on the baker's free speech rights. ALAN KEYES — Last week, I wrote a column reflecting on the assertion that Christians who support Donald Trump have, in effect, surrendered to moral relativism. In that column, I noted that -- in the very same week President Trump addressed the Right to Life March, live and in person from the Rose Garden --... (more)

Rank & File are great people!" Mr. Trumptweeted.... (more)

ROBERT KNIGHT — Well, it's not breaking news, but it's worth noting as President Trump and Congress spar over spending that the national federal debt exceeds $20,000,000,000,000 -- and is rising by the minute. We're using zeroes here instead of spelling out "trillion" to help get across the enormity of this liability that we are piling onto our children and grandchildren.... (more)

FAITH IT — The 2017 NFL season could easily be summed up in two words: Public Demonstration. Flip the channel to ESPN this season, and you're bound to get one of two very different tales. WASHINGTON TIMES — President Trump said Saturday that a memo on FBI surveillance abuses released by House Republicans "totally vindicates" him in the investigation into Russian meddling and collusion in the 2016 election. "This memo totally vindicates 'Trump' in probe," the president tweeted. "But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on." The president said there was "no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead)."... (more)

BYRON YORK — It's fair to say that much of the media reaction to the House Intelligence Committee "FISA abuse" memo has been a mixture of scorn and ridicule. Many commentators have called the memo wrong, worthless, or worse.... (more)

ARI FLEISCHER — I don't know former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. I've never met him. But I was supposed to. I was in an FBI car last June on my way to meet him and other top law enforcement leaders at a counterterrorism communications training event at the 9/11 Museum in New York City when McCabe suddenly ordered me not to show up. The car pulled up outside the museum and I was told not to come inside. I took a taxi back to my hotel and went home.... (more)

WORLDNETDAILY — The Nunes memo released Friday shows special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating the wrong people "on purpose," contends talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh. The declassified report by the Republican majority on the House Intelligence Committee confirms that Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for a British spy to produce a salacious and discredited opposition report on Donald Trump that was submitted by the Justice Department to a top-secret surveillance court as evidence to obtain warrants to spy on a Trump campaign adviser.... WASHINGTON TIMES — The release of a declassified memo on FBI surveillance abuses against the Trump campaign prompted calls Friday for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to explain his involvement to Congress, or even to resign. The memo from Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee shows that at least one of the questionable surveillance warrant applications was signed by Mr. Rosenstein, who already has had a difficult relationship with President Trump. The memo said information supporting the application was obtained from a partisan anti-Trump dossier funded by Hillary Clinton's campaign.... (more)
