A three-judge panel of the court ruled 2--1 that the Justice Department could deny Community Oriented Policing Services grants to cities and states that have "sanctuary" policies prohibiting law-enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities.... DAILY CALLER — The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court for clearance to begin constructing 100 miles of fencing through drug-smuggling corridors along the U.S.-Mexico border. The Friday request comes after U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam forbade the administration from using $2.5 billion in military funds for border wall construction.
