NATIONAL REVIEW — Senator Lisa Murkowski (R., Alaska) said on Tuesday that she wouldn't rule out voting to confirm President Trump's nominee to the Supreme Court before election day. Murkowski initially opposed a vote before the elections, along with fellow moderate Senator Susan Collins (R., Maine). The GOP holds a 53-seat majority in the Senate, and with only Collins and Murkowski in opposition, Republicans were planning to confirm a replacement for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as fast as possible.... DAILY SIGNAL — President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will sign an executive order to ensure that babies who are born alive receive proper medical care. Although the president didn't go into detail about what the order would do, proposals earlier this year in the House and Senate would require health care professionals to treat a baby born alive after an attempted abortion the same as medical professionals would treat any other newborn.... WORLDNETDAILY — California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed an executive order requiring "100%" of in-state sales of new passenger cars and trucks be zero-emission by 2035. He's conceded that he won't be taking away from residents existing gas-powered cars and trucks, and will even allow them to be resold. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Monday that Senate Republicans have the votes to confirm President Trump's Supreme Court nominee to fill the seat left by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died Friday night. "We've got the votes to confirm Justice Ginsburg's replacement before the election. We're going to move forward in the committee," Graham said on FOX News.
